It's difficult to leave it, there are many subs that are interesting and it is used by million of people. This site is full of nazi. Like you go on the front page there is so much antisemitism and crazy stuff. It's great because of freedom of speech, but this sub is the only one I use

That's trueee about Saidit, I'm a bit picky on what subs I go on and who I'll engage with. But the subs I'm active on have been pretty swell. I'm not GC feminist, but they're accepting of others to come join their discussions, which is nice. And the users are pretty reasonable like they are on DroptheT. I also like the bisexuals subsaidit too! We're small but fairly active. :)

There's a couple subs I've been wanting to check out that AREN'T politic related but haven't really been on them as much. I need to just ** go check it out to get some breaks occasionally.

Edit: word(z)...missed an entire phrase LOL.

Exactly, just gotta find subs that relate to your interests, and start getting involved and help grow the community.

Personally, I've hardly ventured out of my subs, but I really need to start. I'm still pretty shell-shocked from the past few years on Reddit, and it's made me hesitant to engage with others. I gotta work on overcoming that, 'cause from everything I've seen, SaidIt users are much better and actually open to converse about all sorts of things. Sure, there's extremists out there, but there's also a lot of reasonable and rational people, and they definitely outweigh the anti-Semites and nazis.

Welcome back to Saidit. :)

I still like some of the nice little subreddits that were there, and it kind of hurts leaving that kind convenience.

I felt that at first when I left close to a decade or so ago, but ended up finding what I need by going on specific forums that are about my interests to fill in that hole.

I'd recommend either creating subs that are in your interest or reviving subs that interest you.

s/bisexuals was dead until I started spamming it participating in it more by making threads daily if I could. We're a bit more active than prior and there are a few regulars there. :)

I'm still eagerly waiting for s/LGB to open up lol.

You're basically carrying s/bisexuals for us, lol. Thank you!

If each of us made an effort to contribute some light hearted content here, we'd soon build just as interesting a place here. Though a solid mission statement and policy guide to prevent a repeat of the same hysteria here would help. Is there such a document?
