Yep. The gay liberation movement was hijacked by neoliberals so they can use it to gain control.

Agree, Pride is a propaganda tool being used against us now. LGB aren't in charge, we aren't choosing the demonstrations or the messages ... we've been hijacked and overrun, and our voices no longer count. In our own movement.

We (of course) talk a lot about dropping the TQ+ because of how they're changing the definition of sexual orientation and sex/biology. But we also need to talk about WHY.

Yeah, there's a lot of evidence to suggest so at this point. I notice you flaired this "Discussion"; was there a particular prompt or question for discussion that you had in mind?

I didn't flair it, the mods did. It was just sort of a decision I reached after puzzling about what the hell was going on with "Pride Month" for a few days.

I've always found Cunningham's Law pretty accurate. If I'm wrong someone will tell me.

Ah, gotcha. Yeah, I feel similarly. It's funny, many straight people find LGBBQ+-+ whatever shit to be tedious and frustrating, and I'd say it's even more so for those of us who are LGB and who haven't bought into "queer theory" nonsense.

I would say that is wrong at the very least as it pertains to pro-trans social media, because all the people who helpfully offer a correction to an ill-informed or harmful post get banned for wrongthink. :) Fun stuff.
