I think focusing so hard on labels just puts you in a box of whats okay and whats not. If you can help it then try and let some of that go and just focus on being you

It's funny how when it comes to SSA, labels don't matter and if you think they do you're putting people in a box and need to let that go, but when it comes to being trans labels are incredibly important and thinking they don't matter is killing trans people everywhere. These peoples' mental gymnastics would be fascinating if they weren't so homophobic.

DUDE. I don't know how but I have NEVER NOTICED THAT BEFORE. Thank you for pointing that out!!!

That is such a double standard. Wow.

We all know why though. If terms for homosexuals were strict and exclusionary (as heterosexuals are), then it would exclude them by default.

However, I do have a minor case of attraction to masc aligned people , but it's more of a shallow aesthetic appreciation and finding them handsome and I don't see myself being in an actual relationship with them ( the idea kind of disgusts me) . Is this a thing and does it somehow invalidate my identity?

Red fucking flag!!!! 🚩🚩🚩 The internalized homophobia is strong in this one.

I don't understand how these kids have got their wires this crossed, like he recognizes his "homosexuality" but denies and minimizes his same-sex attraction?! Uses all the same played out lines, "only want sex/physical attraction to same-sex, wouldn't date/commit to a same-sex partner", "the idea of gay sex disgusts me.". I hope he finds his way out of that deep and strange closet he's in.

Tbh this is one of the saddest parts of trans ideology to me. The t4t gay men like OP and gay trans men who only date other "gay trans men" (butch4butch but make it complicated af) baffle me. Like they're willing to accept that they are gay but still manage to deny their actual same-sex attraction?! I don't get it, if I'm gonna deal with homophobia, I'm gonna be out and proud about it so I can enjoy the benefits of being with another woman, I'm not playing pretend as a gay man 😭

It's funny how gays and lesbians have all this gender "misalignment" stuff naturally infused into our identities and it organically works itself out. I think we forget that we were considered gender abominations by heterosexuals and they mostly had a problem with our "gender" more than our sex. Who pays for dinner when it's 2 women? Do they just sneer at each other until one gives in? Who cooks when it's 2 males? The one who loses in a fight of domination because cooking is for the "loser" and the "weak"?

Heterosexuals have this gender ideology stuff even fused into their god damn cooking (even though they'll deny it now) and then they come into our communities and still internalize and push it even when they try to install breasts onto their chest. So in his mind, he's still working within his heterosexual "binary" way of thinking.

He's a femme leaning/demi girl enby. This whole labrynth he's navigating around is created by a heterosexual identity and he seems to be unable to overcome it. He's obviously a bisexual but with 3000 tonnes of internalized homophobia that's eating him alive and he doesnt know how to fix it.

But it's clear he's basically using "heterosexual software" on a bisexual brain and this is the end result of what internalized homophobia does to a bisexual. He probably has no contact with gays or lesbians or anything to do with homosexuality ("the very idea of having a relationship with men disgusts me) and he's decided to ignore it and it's slowly eating him alive while he focuses on his attraction on women and turning himself into a clown.

What does that even mean...?

He probably has no contact with gays or lesbians or anything to do with homosexuality

Well, he's on r/actuallesbians so yeah, there are almost no homosexual people on there. Lol. Christ, what an upside-down world we live in.

Using heterosexual laws of existence when they don't apply to you, I'm guessing.

Just referring to gender. The default role makes him think that he's a failed male so he thinks he's a woman. The description makes it sound like he isn't even attracted to women but he's somehow so disgusted with his own attraction to men that he thinks he's a lesbian...

aesthetic attraction

I'm going to need help understanding how this isn't just normal physical attraction.

[–]xanditAGAB (Assigned Gay at Birth) 12 insightful - 1 fun12 insightful - 0 fun13 insightful - 1 fun -  (6 children)

Aesthetic attraction would be recognizing someone is attractive but not in a sexual way. Like if a gay man said he though a particular actress was beautiful. My guess anyway.

Calling that attraction is weird though. If that gay man recognized his sister was beautiful that'd be seen as normal, but if he said he was aesthetically attracted to his sister that'd be super weird.

Completely agree!! Keep in mind, this "framework of attraction" was most likely invented by kids bored on Tumblr...

whats a better term for it?

I've got a bit of that. However, I find any closeness to men repulsive, and the thought of being with men unpleasant.

Yeah, I'd assume that it's appreciating someone's attractiveness in the abstract without yourself being attracted to them. Which is certainly a real phenomenon, but that's kind of the thing: there's nothing unusual about this! It happens ALL. THE. TIME. Basic human psychology, you know? So why's this "demigirl (always reminds me of the Monty Python line, "half-man! half-woman! three-quarters badger!") enby" making a fuss about it? IT DOESN'T MAKE YOU SPECIAL, DUDE. It just means that "objectively good-looking and/or otherwise appealing" doesn't automatically equal "my type". Which is a case of "DUH!" if ever I heard one.

Yes but in the age of identity every aspect of human behavior needs a name, a flag, and a support group.

Remember how rosie o'donnell was crazy for tom cruise?

What’s up with all of these guys claiming to be azsexual lately? Surely they realize that jerking off to hentai isn’t asexuality
