I use the terms "men who ID as women" and "women who ID as men". I think your terms will create more confusion.

I get where you're coming from, but that just makes things confusing, since you just switched the words from what they're generally accepted to mean

They aren't the only ones who can make up new meanings for words. Sowing confusion is like the main thing trans do

I saw your comment that was removed, and while I do think that's a pretty good term, I don't want to be associated with radical feminists.

I use their misnomers on here (and only here, albeit with quotation marks) because (a) I've had posts deleted if I use the acronyms I use elsewhere and (b) it helps keep things clear about whether I'm talking about a biological male or biological female which is important when providing information for politically charged topics that are often ignorant about gay men's experiences with either type of trans person.

Edit: If you want an example of (a), it's below in automod's rule 4 post.

I know you are new here and that is relevant, because my suggestion is this: Trust us that we know what reality is regardless of whether or not we use a particular set of terms so that we all know what we mean. Messing with that is just going to make it harder for us to converse. We know. Have faith. :-)

I know that you know, but I think if we changed language to make the sex of these people more unavoidably obvious to normies, it would help sway public opinion.

Indeed, but we are operating within some constraints trying to do that here. I am not sure if the mods have any suggestions regarding this.

But if they do we'd kind of have to do some outreach to get everyone to shift to new terms so we're staying on the same page. I don't have any suggestions at present. But of course, I am as resistant to playing along as you are and I think that feeling applies to most of us. We're kind of making do here at the moment.

Related to this, it's funny how they lose their minds if you simply type "transman" instead of "trans man".

I admit i keep forgetting that space on purpose to annoy them

[–]7874[S] 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

It's because "transman" for trans chicks (female) is the equivalent of vegan buffalo cauliflower "wingz" or vegan "cheeze".

[–]pacmanla 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

😄😄😄 Really, I've never noticed this. What's the issue?

[–]7874[S] 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

It's because "transman" is a made-up word to describe a woman who thinks she is/wishes she was a man, while "trans man" uses "trans" as an adjective to describe an "actual" man. So they can say "I'm a real man; I just happen to be trans."

[–]Q-Continuum-kin 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Yeah they commonly use the argument "it says man right in the name!" As if the unbiased universe granted them that name to prove their sex.

At which point I can't help but return to: "Seahorses are horses."

To me it would just get too confusing if some people are calling MtFs transwomen and other people start calling MtFs trans men, and same with some people calling FtMs transmen or trans women. Then we don't know if people are talking about MtFs or FtMs anymore when using those terms and it just gets hard to communicate.

[–]pacmanla 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I just type their biological sex in parentheses, when discussing them. Example: transwoman (male); transman (female).

Just something I do myself, because I simply can't refer to a biological male as a "woman" anything & not clarify it.

Women and men of transness

[–]our_team_is_winning 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I stick with "sexual fetishists" "extreme transvestites" and maybe "Wokesexual"?

Or just females who LARP as men, and men who pretend to be female. Not even who pretend to be women, because so many seem to think they're sweet 16.
