Man, I wish the Alliance was as powerful as these psychos think it is.

I have a growing belief that it can and will be. I've had some interesting conversations with people offline in the last week that suggest more LGB people are aware of the issues than you might think and there are growing concerns about the trans industrial complex, the takeover of LGB groups, transing of children, puberty blockers, demands for surgery as a "right" etc. It's given me lots of hope.

"PinkNews in snit . . . "

Means it's a day of the week that ends in 'y.' ;-)

There are some interesting comments about this guy in the tweet replies:

After the letter was published, veteran LGBT+ rights campaigner Peter Tatchell told PinkNews: “Boris Johnson has made a huge and shameful misjudgment. He is colluding with an avowedly anti-trans organisation. This letter signals that our prime minister does not respect trans people and is on the side of their oppressors.”

Benjamin needs to explain what 2S and genderqueer are before he gets upset about a fucking form letter to a charity. 🤣

PinkNews is claiming that LGB Alliance has worked with the Heritage Foundation before?

The founder Bev Jackson has said the group’s goal is to challenge gender identity. She admits that it has collaborated with right-wing groups like the Heritage Foundation that are anti-gay, anti-abortion and oppose same-sex marriage.”

All I can find is a statement from them that:

The leftwing silence on gender in the US is even worse than in the UK. This story explains why working with the Heritage Foundation is sometimes the only possible course of action. https://thepublicdiscourse.com/2019/04/50959/

...which is not an admission that LGB Alliance worked with Heritage Foundation. The story linked talks about how the author tried reaching out to mainstream media to cover detransition topics and nobody would listen, so finally she ended up asking the Heritage Foundation and they agreed to give her a platform. I think that speaks more to censorship in mainstream media than anything else... But regardless, PinkNews wants the reader to banish all thought of 'nuance' and just assume that vague, menacing-sounding associations between LGB Alliance and the Heritage Foundation are afoot. Absolutely ridiculous. The article writer who worked with the Heritage Foundation is not associated with LGB Alliance. And here they are claiming:

[Bev Jackson] admits that it has collaborated with right-wing groups like the Heritage Foundation that are anti-gay, anti-abortion and oppose same-sex marriage.

She should sue them. How is that not slander/libel?

I would say 'well vote him out then' but these are the sort of Corbynista cretins who have stuff like 'Never Kiss a Tory!' in their Tinder bios, under all their pronouns and identities.
