Anything with same-sex attraction in it is likely to appear innocuous to the general public. If you get kicked out of Pride for having a sign about same-sex attraction it would raise questions in at least some of the normal people there.

There's an LGBAlliance shirt that says same-sex attraction is a thing! I think I'm gonna go with that one. If I get kicked out, I'll be shocked and I'm sure other LGBs will also be scratching their head too, when same-sex attraction isn't allowed to be celebrated at Pride.

Oh, that actually looks great!

Glad you found a solution. Good luck! I just wrote a long comment with suggestions, but I think this is probably the best one, lol.

EDIT: Just so you know, that shirt does say "LGB Alliance" in the bottom right hand corner. Maybe not the best option, then! (Not because I'm against LGB A but because you will probably get harassment if people notice it.)

Maybe she could cover that bit up? With a cute sticker, or pin-on button, or something?

Yes, I saw the LGBAlliance label! I usually wear my shirts tucked in, so that's what I'll do with this one and the label won't be visible.

Oh lol, that's such an obvious solution I feel dumb for not thinking of it hahaha. Good luck!

edit: You know actually I wonder if they might have designed it that way on purpose. That seems too convenient. Clearly it would've fooled me if I were a TRA! Lol

Yes! Was just about to suggest this, because it’ll make the TQ go ballistic - anything with sex instead of gender

"Homosexuality is Sin ... sational!"

"Vagitarian"

A picture of Storme DeLarverie with the caption "how it started" and then a "how it's going" arrow pointed at the person wearing the shirt

I love that!

Me too! Storme was AWESOME. How has no one made a full-on Hollywood biopic about her yet???

I don't know!!! That's actually a great question. Feel like it speaks volumes about how underappreciated actual lesbian women who've pushed for LGB rights are, lol.

It's so funny... I never see the men pretending to be women talking about real lesbian women in history. There are so many tells that they are just identity tourists.

No. 1, 2 and 3 probably won't be interpreted as an exclusive LGB/gender critical slogan. No. 4 might get you the attention of some TRAs and they'll try to lecture you. No. 5 will get you lynched 😬

I'm not good at subtle slogans.. maybe just a huge "LGB", which hints at the exclusion of the T. Or a shirt with the labrys on the front, and the picture of a crossed out banana or another phallic symbol on the back... or the image of the labrys tearing it apart. Or.. "I'm a L and I don't like tea"... I dunno, I'm trying to be funny here

In general, I think it's a good idea to play around with the "same sex" label. It will surely get TRAs mad, but they can't really show that because the general LGB populace has no idea that trans activism is a war on "sex" and our terms. If you can provoke a few gender identitarian rants with a simple mention of same sex attraction, it might peak some oblivious LGBs there!

I agree that "same sex" is probably a good angle to play, here, for the aforementioned reasons.

Yep. Remember when TRAs expressed their utter distain for the acknowledgement of the first same-sex marriage in Northern Ireland as if it was historically significant?

Expose their disinterest in supporting the legalization and normalization of same-sex relationships over the world and the you don't even need to manually drop the T. Average people will naturally begin noticing that the gender ideology goals of the Trans movement are very different from and even incompatible with the LGB.

1 is too vague as they think they are ladies. 2 is good, anything that says same SEX attraction. 3 too vague. 4 you will have nosy SJW's in your face all day. 5 you will be dropped off a building.

theres always the posie type definition shirts, Lesbian: adult human female homosexual

funny might keep you out of trouble though.

Hmm, ok this is a tough one. This is actually a really great question in general, though; I would love to signal this to people in my everyday life.

About your ideas:

  1. not effective - would be re-interpreted by TRAs as including "women" with dicks.

  2. effective but maybe unsafe - I always see it as a red flag when another LGB person uses the term "same gender" or "opposite gender" and a good sign (green flag?) if they use "same sex" or other terms that acknowledge our sex-based attraction. So someone who's watching for this would notice. At the same time, I think some LGB people are simultaneously gender identity advocates while using the term "same-sex"... so I wouldn't assume a person is against trans ideology just on this basis. So I'd say this one is more subtle, but maybe a good option.

  3. not effective - If people thought for half a second about what this was referencing, they might get that you're referring to same sex attraction, but I think this is more likely to be interpreted by TRAs as just a general rejection of societal norms.

  4. effective, but might get you kicked out - I think this one's pretty obvious. Saying "Dykes don't do dick" would get you banned from AL, for example, and I'm going to guess that some Pride events' rules are similar in stringency to AL's.

  5. effective, but will definitely get you kicked out - The broader signaling in TQ+ social media and organizations is that LGB Alliance is a "hate group." Which is insane... LGB people should be allowed to have an LGB-specific group.

More ideas

These ones are not surefire ways to signal that you are lesbian, I think, because TRAs could misinterpret them as being men-inclusive, but if I saw these on a woman's clothes then I would definitely wonder if she is lesbian.

  • Maybe could use the double venus symbol? Idk if TRAs have taken over that one yet.

  • Lavender flowers, and/or lavender as a color.

  • Wear a shirt with the faces of famous lesbian women (who are very clearly not men). So like, activism-associated types like Storme DeLarverie, maybe some musicians like Melissa Etheridge or Brandi Carlile or Hayley Kiyoko, maybe some other famous people... If I saw a woman wear this, I'd definitely think she's lesbian because LARPing men pretending to be lesbian absolutely do not give a shit about the real, awesome work put in by lesbian women throughout history. Bonus points: people might appreciate that you're referencing LGB history!

More ideas from memes

I'm just gonna throw out some more suggestions and maybe other people can give feedback on whether or not they're 1. effective and 2. safe.

One approach would be to use a meme that indirectly or directly refers to female anatomy. I think these are lighthearted enough that anyone who gets angry at you about them will probably be seen as a buzzkill, and genuine LGB people will just laugh. BUT, they might genuinely piss off some people so please please be careful if you're choosing to do this!

Edit: Bottom line, referring to female homosexuality at an LGBTQ+ event is a pretty unsafe thing to do; but depending on the venue, and who's running it, you might be able to get away with it. Please be careful, whatever you choose to do! Rooting for you :)

"Lesbian = female homosexual". Simple and to the point. Also impossible for the gender-gestapo to attack without revealing what massive homophobes they really are.

I'd work in "same-sex" somewhere. That's what the activists cannot stand, but everyone else don't see a problem with.

Just march wait till the half way point and then reveal your unfolding J K Rowling poster with her "notorious" Twitter post about same-sex attraction. Instant fame.
