Transing ChildrenMore NPR messaging

I heard a report this morning on NPR about another state law limiting "gender-affirming care" for minors. NPR is so completely captured on the trans issue. So, of course, they are talking about negatives impacts on "LGBTQ+ youth." It just make me mad at this point. No, this does not affect the LGB at all, so stop dragging us into it. Then they interviewed doctors at a university gender climic talking about how there is "broad consensus" in the medical field that transition is life-saving treatment. No, you've just made it impossible for anyone to say anything different without being canceled or losing their job.

I'm sick of all the mendacity. TRAs use "gender-affirming care" to make it all sound positive with words like 'affirm' and 'care' instead of, "We're experimenting on your kids without any clear sense of the long-term outcomes."

It really gets under my skin when they call it "life saving treatment". That makes it sound like suicide is the only other option, and puts the blame on everyone else for not "affirming" delusions.

Imagine if you told everyone suffering from paranoia that, yes, everyone else was out to get them . . .

I have to turn NPR off every time this topic comes up. They are just not doing journalism anymore.
