Just heard the news this morning that Nicola Sturgeon is resigning from the position as Scotland's first minister amid speculation that it's partly due to her controversial positions on trans prisoners.

It seems like the ruling elites took the silence of the public as support for the crazy stuff and then when they pushed the line beyond ridiculous the public finally let their opinions out. The sentiment has been there all a long but people just didn't want to talk about it and now that they are being forced to react, the media is framing it as the public "being radicalized and moving to the right".

Don't get mad if you force people to answer a question.

I've been saying it lots lately, but I'll say it again. I'm tired of people saying that anyone critical of the far fringes of radical queerness is "right wing." Most people are moderates and just want sensible policies implemented -- as opposed to taking polarizing stances on controversial issues and trying to force them into law.
