Early 20s single lesbians, what's the plan?

It seems like we're all desperately single, and alienated from those around us because our peers are all into queer theory. We want to date each other in theory but can't find each other in practice.

My main idea is this:

  • We decide on one dating app to all use, like Bumble or something, and then we spread the word in radfem circles.
  • We pick some shorthand to all put in our profiles to identify each other, like, "looking for a gc gf," or maybe some string of emojis if we want to be more cryptic?

Edited to add: So I deleted all my dating apps a few months ago, and in the meantime I guess I'd sort of forgotten how much they fucking suck? Anyways I re-downloaded bumble today, and I am suddenly way more on board with the idea of a discord group instead XD

Still figuring out what exactly that group should be like, but we can make it up as we go, PM me for invite link

I’d say we all go on bumble, cause bumble is a small enough base and doesn’t have nearly enough TIMs, couples, and men as tinder. Only downside is that there’s never enough girls on there in my location...

I know detrans folks are using the lizard as a symbol lately, so I'm not sure if that's the best choice for clear communication?

Ah Yeah that is where I saw it first. I thought they were posting it tho because it’s the lesbian lizard. It’s about the New Mexico whip tail which is an entire species of lesbians lol. I just like that there’s a symbol and it’s bad ass. Maybe there’s some way we could talk to them and find out of they only want it to mean detrans

    thanks! Entirely unsurprising that animals, especially the females (don't care about males of any species), choose to only pair up with other females because males of all species rape them. Female spiders that eat the male (even before mating) is also unsurprising. I've read about the hooked penis of the male duck which is torture for the female duck. So many other examples.

    yes I meant the lesbian lizard, not necessarily the way (which I am just learning here) detrains people are using it.

    The lizard comes from the New Mexico whip tail lizard, which is a type of lizard that is entirely female. They reproduce with each other through some type of asexual reproduction

    I like this idea! Maybe an easier method would be something like discord though? We're probably scattered around different areas so it might be difficult to find one another on bumble.

    The main reason I suggest a dating app is because it has the geography element built in. I keep coming back to the idea of a discord too, but I'm worried that would just leave us all with internet girlfriends and no one to cuddle with in meat-space?

    That said, I think a discord is a good enough idea that it's worth at least trying—especially is other people are interested.

    I think just try to date someone who doesn’t look like they’re in the gay community... somebody without colored hair or anything. A lot of times the crazy ones make it obvious with pronouns in the bio, black lives matter on tinder, and stuff like that
