How can we create Lesbian Space in the US?

I know that Title IX will get in our way, but what if we just did like house gatherings? Create a 'underground' lesbian house network? I was thinking it could be a place where we could have gatherings, offer support and if someone wishes, home youth who have been kicked out? I think this is the way we can rebuild lesbian spaces. Slowly and quietly. (Ish.) Thoughts and Ideas?

I really like the idea of having a house-network.

This already happens. You just gotta be social and get in with them. I'm not gonna name names on here but lesbian make up gurus, are forever having parties in LA, Houston, Atlanta. If they have an Instagram, they're probably into gatherings. Hit 'em up. There are two very popular make lesbian gurus...just saying.

In fact, there was this one make up guru trying to get a party going during now(Covid 19).

If you're in Europe: Københaven, Stockholm, London, Praque.

Also depends on the type of scene you're into and ladies you're into.

Social gatherings are everywhere but you have to be social. If you're looking for it, it's there already. I'm not just talking about relationships but connections in regards to careers, living arrangements, sponsorship, etc.

    Oh, good. But I am thinking we need to expand somehow. Because parties aren't all we're looking for. Friends, people to hug and help.

    I edited my comment for more clarity but can offer more insight as well after work about how the chain of connection works. Even if it's a party, that party can lead to a job interview, a discount on a house, or a roommate, etc.

    Absolutely, the cities I mentioned above are the ones I know of, been to, and know who operates there, especially if it's within my line of work. I'll do my best to lead you to the right connect with that person's or entity's consent.

    What makes it difficult is that it needs to be at least a little bit private and underground in order for it to be safe to exist. But that means that if you don't know the right people (shy, just moved to the area, whatever) and don't have that "in", it's hard to find them. You can't publicize it to the right people without publicizing it to the wrong people too.

    That's true and it's a small problem. What we made an 'codename interest?" like something boring that everyone knew was a 'lesbian' thing? So, we can gather the newbies? Like a 'bug hunters society?'

    Look, I don't want to rain on your parade but please remember that this is an open forum. Everything that you write here is visible to everyone, including the QT-nutbags. You don't know whom you are talking with here either. Max created a safer place over at Ovarit. You may want to consider setting up "headquarters" there and then discussing your ideas via DMs. The vetting process should eliminate most of the QTs. You could continue on this sub to attract other lesbians, but be a little careful with saidit, you don't know who is hiding behind a username.

    I don’t know anymore... a lot of them are crazy and it’s not even like we bother them, we try to get away from them but they follow us and yell at us to let them come and try to ruin our lives on the internet.

    ... the key is then... don't have social media! :) Or we all wear covid masks for life. The other thing we could do is confiscate cell-phone for the parties. No pictures, no nothing. Never happened.

      I understand. it's so frustrating! And I think Demi is just basic normal a la fact label. Ace is just one block, not an umbrella.
