Call me a romantic, but I think I'd just like to go fill out some paperwork at the precinct courthouse and then go home, maybe order some chinese food to mark the special occasion.

Harry Potter themed. The tables would be split in house colors, the guests would be encouraged to wear the color for their house. My dress would be green and silver and my wife's whatever color she wants. I want the venue old and rustic like Hogwarts. It would be a summer wedding in the evening. Food would be a collection of things from the Harry Potter cookbook. Invitations would be Hogwarts acceptance letters. The reception would be filled with dancing and little Harry Potter themed games like house sorting quiz, photo booth with HP costumes, etc. This is only in a perfect world if we were super rich and could afford a wedding planner to handle all the details and headaches. I just want to show up and be impressed. Lol

In the real world, I'd still have my green and silver dress and get married at the courthouse and use the extra money on a Harry Potter tour for our honeymoon.

If you haven't noticed yet, I'm going to have to marry someone who loves Harry Potter as much as me. 😅

ooo I have a few. I've always liked the idea of a winter wedding because of snow, but unfortunately where I live there is no snow. I think a beach wedding would be really nice, and then heading off to the local pub for a meal and drinks. I would totally make the cake because I love making cakes. I haven't picked dresses yet but I love this idea as a knitter https://www.reddit.com/r/knitting/comments/jq4iel/i_got_married_3_weeks_ago_heres_a_smidgen_of/ also flipping the colours around is clever. I also saw someone have a wedding in a cave which would be seriously awesome.

private courthouse "ceremony", mixed race reception with our friends and family that will come (with aspects from my and my partner's cultures). Honeymoon in the maldives :D

I'd like a simple and intimate affair, getting married in a rainforest by the beach. And I'd like to have a honeymoon there too.

What kind of venue would you choose?

Courthouse / civil registry, because I hate the concept of marriage licenses.

What time of year would you prefer?

Winter so I can wear cosplay (a coat and a humongous fur hat) without looking like a dork.

Would it be huge event or an intimate affair?

Saturday, both families, 6 cars, we go in the same car both ways, one of us drives it. We do a tour of various personally meaningful places around town, tell stories, take photos and eat finger food out of the open hatch. All of us go back home, eat dinner and have tea with a variety of store-bought machine-made cakes. I eat a two-pound cake all by myself and do the dishes afterward. Me and my wife sleep on the floor in the hallway because some guests are too drunk to go home and the spare beds went to their children.

Sunday, the remaining guests leave in the morning and we spend the day resting at home and eating leftovers, with a walk around the block in the evening.

Monday, we go to work.

How would you spend your honeymoon?

Working.
