They did a pretty good job using the monitor lizards as dinosaurs, although the guy in the Tyrannosaurus Rex suit (Tim Smyth) was straining the limits of special effects in 1957.
One thing they should have done is film more on location, instead of using sets that were supposed to look like jungle.
That cute little mammal at the end is a Loris (Which really sounds like a creature out of a Dr Seuss book❗) - the only primate with a toxic bite.
