Most users here seem to be refugees from ban waves / driven by personal negative experience with reddit.
Saidit and other reddit-like alternatives haven't reached the tipping point yet where they have enough users to actually produce/aggregate enough content to draw normal users.

I think it's something worse than Reddit replacing Reddit. A place with more censorship than Reddit. Reddit is owned by China now, the Silicon Valley must have to take down it.

SteemIt took off pretty hard.. I think they got a lot of redditors over there. Not that it's better. It is pretty huge though.

I am not sure their traffics is real or not.

If it becomes well known, I predict everything on there will be soft porn on there, it's my experience on a similar platform: most people want to reward this kind of content only.

I have doubts.

I do a lot hard dev like work, though I'm not a real programmer. "Steem" is way to difficult to use.
