Seriously, why the FUCK was GC banned? I didn't agree with so many of their positions (I found their blanket pathologizing of male sexuality weird, for instance, but whatever, everyone can have their views and ought to be free to talk about them) but nothing on that sub was remotely as distasteful as some of the things I outlined in the title.

What the actual fuck is going on that that website once hosted actual CP for years, had pedo mods and now they go and ban GC, RightWingLGBT and countless other benign subreddits compared to, you know, ACTUAL CHILD PORNOGRAPHY?! (I am aware that those subs have been gone for years, but I am quite aware pro-grooming subreddits and communities still run strong rn)

(In all seriousness, go look it up - subs like r/rapekink, r/strugglefucking and r/rapeconfessions are still up. Not to sound prudish or "kink shame", but in the context of the bannings, how are those okay while discussing women's rights, and providing thousands of women with actual resources for very real, dangerous issues are not?)

I feel like I am being gaslit by reality.

It just sucks because I got redpilled HARD over lockdown (had been a slow creep for years since the late oughts); it was natural that I had been feeling increasingly isolated due to being a gay man of color approaching 30 this year. But now, it's no longer simply isolating, it feels like there's a bizarro all-out hidden war. And the veil has been lifted and I can't look away.

I'm eastern european by birth/childhood/bent, though living in the US now and seeing leftists here, makes me embarrassed for them. They have no fucking clue about anything. Very naive and uneducated about what happens to the left when allowed to run unchecked.

I'm also pro-socialism and so were National Socialists. However I don't believe in forced taxation on social issues, I believe people should only pay for their fellow people if they decide to do so. Help your fellow white man who can't get a job because there aren't any? Sure why not. Pay for an abortion even though you don't care for it? Nah. Social issues should be based on choice in my opinion, and this was actually what NS really stood for. There were actually two schools of thought called Socialism in those days, you should look up the difference.

I prefer people be personally responsible most of the time, but I would like for healthcare to be affordable.

I was raised to think socialism was the same as communism, and also a leftist idea. I only recently learned George Orwell was a socialist, and it was confusing to me, because the same people who demonize socialism go around quoting him.

I'll definitely look more into it.

He adopted socialist views after becoming disgusted by colonialism while working for the Colonial Service in Burma, fought for the Republicans against the Nationalists in the Spanish Civil War, then got a look at what Stalinism was actually like and became disgusted all over again, and wrote Animal Farm and Nineteen Eighty-Four.

Yes. He was criticizing his own side, and its propensity to authoritarian ways. The communist revolution in Russian was led by extreme leftists, and gave birth to Stalin, who killed more people than Hilter. 1984 was a warning to the leftists everywhere.

I don't know if you are a believer, but I strongly believe this is the beginning of the strong delusion mentioned in 2 Thessalonians and elsewhere in the Bible. It started with politics, it will eventually lead to religion. The false prophet will declare himself god and the world will be too far gone to be saved.

Reddit's actions are so unabashed and blatant - they literally are not even attempting to hide the misogyny. I feel like this is an escalation, like you said, the veil has been lifted. How can SO MANY people not only be okay with the censorship that's taken place, but have nothing to say about the literal rape and racist subreddits being left untouched? It's delusion.

It's going to get a lot worse.

I'm just a normie who never used or looked at twitter, now suddenly I see TRAs everywhere under comments in news articles, reddit, and forums. Then I looked at twitter and became GC. It's like looking at what might be the beginning of an alternate reality, either we become Canada or we become the UK.
