Awesome! Bout time. It's not just about responsibility, but agency as well. Both people want a baby? Great! Outside of that, it's really up to the women whether they have a child or not in the case of an unplanned pregnancy. If the woman does not, she has the option of abortion (regardless on your stand, it's a reality; i prefer responsibile birth control), which is the last option; man has no real say. Same if she wants to keep it. The man is on the hook one way or another with no real choice. Male birth control would give men more agency in that decision. It will also help reduce unwanted pregnancies and consequently abortions.

Bout time.

Condoms.

Sure. I grant you that. Any birth control is better than the alternative of an unwanted pregnancy and all that entails. BUT, we all know how much condoms suck. I hate them. And their efficacy is shaky at best. Too many points of failure. A simple, daily pill, or gel I think this is, would be a better solution. Regardless of the method, birth control is a better option that allows more agency than just rolling the dice.

Let's just hope Big Pharma is honest about the negative aspects and fair about the price.
