This is a place for positive community interactions and conversation. I hope that we can forget about politics, religion, and all the other hot button (tiresome) issues for a little while and chow down on some popcorn together. Like all communities, this place needs some rules; so lets get started:

This sub is dedicated to movie night related topics (such as suggestions) and movie night announcements. I don't mind if you want to meme about, discuss, or debate movies here as long as it has to do with either a present or past movie night suggestion/showing.
No political, religious, or other "hot button" subjects are to be posted UNLESS they have to do with a movie suggestion or a movie showing. Go ahead and discuss the Christ symbolism within the Matrix; don't argue over whether or not another user should/shouldn't believe in Christ.
Absolutely no personal attacks, doxxing, or witchhunts for any reason.
No criticism without valid reasoning. You must have some sort of argument for what you're saying. Saying "I don't like The Room because the acting is horrible, the camera work is amateur, and the direction is non existent" is completely fine. Saying "The Room is an awful movie" is not fine.
Do not suggest movies which have already been suggested. If I've missed a suggestion, please PM me with a link to the thread/comment you feel I've missed and I will get back to you. I wish to keep this clutter free.
If you wish to suggest a movie please link an IMDB page or other source with more information. I will not judge any movie based on score (such as IMDB or rotten tomatoes). All movies are welcome.
In order to keep showings from becoming stale, please try to suggest a different genre of movie from the previous week. This rule is not an absolute; I could very well show a horror movie two weeks in a row, but I would prefer to keep content varied.

Lastly, just be a decent person. Don't start drama, don't berate someone for suggesting a movie you don't like, don't tell someone their taste in movies sucks. If you don't like a certain movie that has been picked you can always just not watch it. I will try my best to provide the best movie to show for the most amount of people. My goal is to provide a place where we can all unwind after a long work week and have a good time.
Any offense to these rules will result in anything from a light warning to an immediate ban depending on how severely you've broken them. If you feel you were unjustly banned, please message me. I am a human, I make mistakes, and if you truly feel I am being unfair then I will gladly hear you out and hopefully we can come to a resolution. Will I immediately unban you if you speak with me? That all depends on the situation, but it wouldn't hurt to try.
Now get to suggesting movies!
