Please read below to avoid any issues concerning time/suggestions:

There is a cutoff for suggestions this week. The cutoff is the end of this Wednesday (4/17/19). Please ONLY post within this thread for your suggestion to be valid. Any and all suggestions suggested after Wednesday (4/17/19) will be ignored until the following movie night! Any suggestion not PM'd to me or posted outside of this thread will be ignored outright!

There is also a cutoff for the schedule of this movie night that is Wednesday (4/17/19). If you have issues with the time, I will gladly try to work with you so you can enjoy the movie with others in your timezone. I live in the Eastern U.S. and as such I will be biased towards my own timezone.

If you do not live in a timezone compatible with Eastern Time, please let me know by Wednesday (4/17/19) so we can come up with a solution together. Failure to bring up issues concerning time zones before Wednesday (4/17/19) will result in those issues not being addressed until the following movie night! I am making this clear now so we can avoid issues in the future.

General issues/concerns:

So I think it's best if we consolidate our suggestions to a weekly thread (this current thread). I will ignore all movie suggestions that aren't posted in this thread or PM'd to me personally. Our previous movie night went O.K. and everyone seemed more or less pleased, but there are still a few kinks to work out.

This week I will be trying to iron out those issues (such as synchronization). While minor, I still wish to make this is seamless as possible and I am striving to improve the experience for all.

If you have ANY suggestions concerning chat, synchronization, movie genre, content, or anything else please make these suggestions BEFORE Wednesday (4/17/19). I would prefer a PM with suggestions unrelated to movie choice, but posting in this thread will work. Doing so gives me time to adjust to and consider your suggestion.

It is not my responsibility to make sure you do this before the time posted and failure to make a suggestion before Wednesday (4/17/19) will result in your issues being addressed the following movie night! I am trying my best to make this the best experience for everyone of all nationalities and timezones.

I am a single person doing this for the benefit of saidit and its users. While computer literate compared to most of the modern world, I am in no way professional at this. I need you to help me by working with me on these improvements. I am just a regular guy trying to provide service to all of you. So long as you work with me I will work with you!

is there a general theme that your doing that we could narrow down suggestions or possibly monthly themes/genres?

I don't have any theme in mind, it could really be any genre so long as it's a movie. Would you prefer a monthly theme?

well I was thinking like the big holiday months. oct. would be of course horror genre or say christmas could just be christmas themed like gremlins, die hard, christmas vacation, ect. so if this is april/spring it could be comedy "fools" or spring themed. just a suggestion.

Well we've already missed the boat on the comedy theme, but a horror/christmas theme is a great idea. I might do a showing of independence day for the week of the 4th of July as well. Thanks for the great idea!

Themes are good. It provides structure.

They don't have to be followed, but at least it's a starting point.

Themes don't have to be genres either. ie. "Fear and Hope", "Existential Angst", "Unrequited Love", "Water", or "Freedom" could be themes.

You could start a wiki for this sub. Post the date, time, movie, (and theme) in one list, maybe list the contenders for folks to catch if they like, and in another section invite people to add their theme suggestions. Every week we would vote on the movie of that week and the theme of the next week. If you and folks like.

ooh freedom would be a good theme for july. it could also be a play on word like braveheart or shawshank.

It gets much hate but it's a super fun movie. One of the most hated Shamylan films.

Oh trust me I get where you're coming from. I personally think there's a myriad of issues with this film, but oh god is it great exactly for it. If you genuinely think it's a great film, more power to you! Just know I'll be meming about it the whole time it's on haha.
