IMDB is owned by Amazon.

Oh, that's never ever happened before. Ever!

At this point, I would tell y'all that TMDB > IMDB.

Nice. It even has discussion boards.

9gag want me to turn off adblocker, which I won't, especially for fucking 9gag.

Anyhow, more info: 2773+ 1/10 IMDB votes were obviously suspicious:

I think Amazon owns IMDB and will control review numbers at Amazon and IMDB, which I naturally don't support. But the 65% 1/10 or 10/10 IMDB votes don't make sense for Rings of Power, which is a decent or OK series at the moment.

That seems like a rational way to give an honest, accurate view of the things on your site, and users' opinions of them. It's just like how mom would throw all the food out of the fridge if I didn't praise her cooking enough. I could always just go elsewhere for food, since I clearly hated eating so much.

Still shit. Doesn't matter.

One of the most pointless tv shows of all time. Long, boring, unintersting but pretty to look at.

Pretty accurate, but Tolkien books aren't exactly fast paced. Dude wrote dictionaries for a living and it shows. I'm enjoying it personally.

I really hated the first ep but the second one was good enough to rope me into watching the next...

    I like the show

Have an upvote you didn't have to give yourself.

    C. Tolkein's estate - Christopher's wife Baillie Tolkien and his nephew Michael George Tolkien

I don't really know how I feel about it now, but in the past I have been annoyed at his estate for milking it for profit. I feel like they should be public domain works now, but on the other hand, that just means Amazon would have profited off Tolkeins work with no renumeration to the parents.

The bigger problem imho is that we have two generations growing up right now not able to put any review into a realistic context regarding the platform they read it on.

They are used to scrolling information so fast that they seldom can give information any consideration they surely need nowadays.

Which begs the question of the point of this behavior in the first place.

What did they do? Queer it up like everything else these days.

So far there is very little wrong with it other than being a little slow off the start which is normal for most.
