Welcome to /s/OffGrid. I am gaining experience and looking for other like-minded people. Pull up a chair and stay awhile.

Myself: I currently live in the city, but setting up a new property 50 miles outside the city where I plan to permanently relocate. It is 8 acres of woods, with a creek and a cabin. I will post my misadventures and invite you to post yours. Discussion welcome.

so glad this sub exists. i am in a better position; i have electricity in my orchard / cabin, but i am all ears.

I started out with a solar panel and a battery in an ammo box. It was so that I could go camping and keep my phone and laptop charged up. It's a dangerously slippery slope... it led me to shopping for land on craigslist. If you decide to jump in, this is a community. I started this so that everyone could share ideas.
