Woman here. While reciprocity is ideal, I would much rather be the lover than the beloved. Also this isn't a poem.

And why do you think this is? Look at how the world raises girls: pampered, protected from every displeasure, given gifts and everything in fancy and colorful aesthetics, low expectations, and always considered the victim. And most of this continues their whole lives. In a nutshell: they're spoiled! Men don't deserve all this special treatment for being men, so why should women for being women?

It's not as if men are truly any better in this regard; in fact they're naturally worse. The difference is there's zero tolerance for this behavior in them, and they must put up a good act in order to survive.
