Don't engage when they are behaving badly, only engage when they are being decent. Tell them straight you aren't going to kick your other friend out. If they don't like it they can decide to walk away.

i've been friends for so long, though. how would i just stop talking to them without them asking me about it?

You make the decision and keep your spine straight. That's it.

The nearer you get to your pure, original and "real" self the more respect you'll receive from people around you.

Just not from hipocrites. But do you really want to be friends with these people?
