Russian Defence Ministry report on the progress of the special military operation in Ukraine

💥 In Kupyansk direction, artillery of the 'Zapad' Group of Forces hit manpower and hardware of the 114th and 104rd territorial defence brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) near the settlements of Masyutovka and Tabayevka (Kharkov region).

◽️ The enemy's losses in this direction during the day amounted to 45 Ukrainian servicemen, one tank, four armoured fighting vehicles, a motor vehicle, and a D-20 howitzer.

💥 In Krasny Liman direction, units of the 25th Airborne and 95th airborne assault brigades of the AFU close to Yampolovka (Donetsk People's Republic), as well as Serebryansky forest area, were hit by artillery and heavy flamethrower systems.

◽️ More than 60 Ukrainian troops and four armoured fighting vehicles were neutralised.

💥 In Donetsk direction, as a result of a successful offensive, volunteers of assault groups, supported by fire of Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the 'Yug' Group of Forces, have liberated the village of Blagodatnoye (Donetsk People's Republic).

◽️ Up to 50 Ukrainian servicemen, a French Caesar self-propelled artillery system, a US-made M-777 artillery system, and an MSTA-B howitzer have been eliminated in this area during the day.

💥 On South Donetsk direction, the 'Vostok' Group of Forces hit units of the 72nd mechanised brigade of the AFU near Ugledar and the 110th territorial defence brigade Novopol (Donetsk People's Republic).

◽️ Over 40 servicemen, one tank, two armoured fighting vehicles and two pickup trucks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been neutralised in this direction.

💥 In addition, two artillery ammunition depots of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been destroyed near the towns of Ugledar and Katerynovka in (Donetsk People's Republic).

💥 In Kherson direction, two Gvozdika self-propelled artillery units and two ammunition depots of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Mikhailovka and Zmiyevka (Kherson region) were destroyed as part of a counter-battery operation.

💥 Operational-Tactical Aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have neutralised 84 AFU artillery units at their firing positions, enemy's manpower and hardware in 126 areas during the day.

◽️ Russian air defence facilities have shot down one Mi-8 helicopter of Ukrainian Air Force near Zolotaya Balka (Kherson region).

◽️ Five UAVs were also intercepted in the areas of Kryvosheyevka, Oborotnovka, Krasnorechenskoye, Vladimirovka (Lugansk People's Republic) and Belogrudovo (Kherson region).

◽️ Moreover, three US-made HIMARS MLRS shells were intercepted near the settlements of Zlatoustovka (Donetsk People's Republic) and Skadovsk (Kherson region).

🇷🇺 Military summary

🟢 Ukrainian formations have once again shelled Lomakovka in Bryansk Region.

The shelling disrupted the electricity supply in the settlement, but casualties and serious damage were avoided.

🟢 In Lyman sector, the front line is frozen in fact. Artillery duels continue along the entire line of contact between the sides.

In the "grey zone" on both sides, sabotage and reconnaissance groups are operating to uncover enemy positions.

🟢 During the day, the enemy launched at least seven strikes using HIMARS multiple rocket launchers at Kreminna in the Lyman sector.

Three civilians were killed under Ukrainian shelling and several others were injured.

🟢 On the south-eastern outskirts of Bakhmut, Wagner's PMC assault units are fighting near the local meat processing plant and the Zabakhmutivka residential area.

The enemy continues to hold the town with all its might, preventing further advancement of Russian forces.

🟢 Fierce fighting between units of the Russian Airborne Troops and Ukrainian formations continues in Paraskoviivka and Krasna Hora.

After the liberation of Blahodatne, Wagner's PMC fighters are advancing towards the two settlements from the north, increasing pressure on the enemy grouping.

🟢 Heavy fighting continues near Vuhledar, where Pacific Fleet marines are selflessly holding back AFU's counterattacks.

In Artemovsk in the morning:

💥 There is no operational encirclement of the Artemovskaya group yet.
It is possible either in the case of the capture of Krasnoe, or in the case of mopping up Krasnaya Gora and Paraskovievka with an advance to the north of the city. Either one or the other option will lead to the establishment of fire control over the second road from Chasy Yar to Artemovsk. So far, under the fire of our artillery and MLRS there is a road passing near Krasnoy, and movement along it is already associated with a significant risk. The second road can still be used to supply the Artemovsk group.

💥 In the city itself, our assault groups are advancing in the city in the south, southeast and northeast. For the time being, the enemy is relying on a gradual withdrawal in the city in order to delay his surrender as much as possible. But in the event of cutting the main road to Artemovsk, the processes of withdrawal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from Artemovsk will obviously accelerate, as happened in Ugledar, after the attack aircraft of the PMC "Wagner" broke through to the main supply road of the Soledar grouping, which caused an imminent collapse of the enemy's defence.

💥 The Russian military attacked columns of Ukrainian troops, which, along with supplies, travelled along the only highway leading to Artyomovsk (Bakhmut) from the city of Chasov Yar, said Yan Gagin, assistant to the acting head of the DPR.

💥 In Krasnaya Gora, the assault units of the PMC "Wagner" are clearing the central and eastern parts of the settlement, and are also advancing in Paraskovievka.

In Ugledarskiy:

💥 There were no significant changes in the Ugledar region over the past day. Due to bad weather conditions, the active offensive was suspended, positional battles are underway. Ukrainian formations carry out remote mining of the outskirts and approaches to the city.

💥 At the same time, units of the 72nd brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine suffered huge losses. Partially, the personnel was withdrawn to the Elizavetovka area. On the night of January 31 to February 1, towed guns were withdrawn from the vicinity of Ugledar to new firing positions.
The commander of one of the battalions of the 72nd mechanized brigade was missing. According to the interception of negotiations between members of the Ukrainian formations, 200 bodies of those killed during the fighting in the Donetsk direction were delivered to Gaisin in the Vinnitsa region.

💥 To strengthen the grouping, the forces of the 35th detachment of the Ukrainian Navy were deployed to Vuhledar, which took up all-round defense. In addition, one of the units of the 80th Airborne Assault Brigade of the Airborne Forces of Ukraine arrived from the Limansky sector.

💥 In the near future, the transfer of the battalion-tactical group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from Bogatyr to the site is expected, part of which is planned to be used to defend transport hubs.

In Soledar:

💥 🔻In the Soledar sector, the assault detachments of the PMC "Wagner" are cleaning up the village of Sakko and Vanzetti and the surrounding area, and have also come close to Nikolaevka, on the outskirts of which fighting is taking place.

💥 At the same time, the assault on the fortified area of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Paraskovievka and Krasnaya Gora continues, where, with the support of artillery, Russian troops are pushing through the defense. As a result of a massive strike on strongholds on the hills west of Blagodatny, more than a dozen members of Ukrainian formations were hit.

💥 One of the units of the 93rd mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, operating in the north of Bakhmut, was withdrawn to the Chernihiv region to restore combat capability. Of the 200 people, only 40 survived.

💥 In Bakhmut, the "Wagnerites" advanced from the meat processing plant to Pervaya Alabastrova Street, consolidated control in the area of the champagne factory, and also established control over two positions in Zabakhmutovka.

💥 In the south-west of Bakhmut, Russian units forced out the formations of the 3rd Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the forest area in the north-west of Kleshcheevka. Progress is also noted in the direction of Krasnoye. Despite the significant success, at the moment, statements about the operational encirclement of Bakhmut are premature: the Armed Forces of Ukraine hold positions in this area, and there is still no control over the highway from Chasov Yar to Bakhmut.

Successes of PMC "Wagner" in the Bakhmut and Soledar directions

💥 North of Soledar:

Units of the Wagner PMC are advancing towards Nikolaevka and Razdolovka from several directions. There are fierce battles in n. Sacco and Vanzetti.

💥 Bakhmut:

The musicians are fighting fierce battles in the south of the village of Paraskovievka and in the north of the village of Krasnaya Gora - the northern suburbs of Bakhmut. Reports of the liberation of these settlements turned out to be premature.

Under the control of PMC "Wagner" is a large part of the area "Meat Processing Plant" in the north-east of Bakhmut. The line of contact passes in the area of Alabastrova Street.

In the southeast, fighting is going on in the area of Garshin Street, the musicians' units have taken possession of the first buildings in the complex of houses between Vatutina Lane and Nekrasov Street.

The fighters of PMC "Wagner" expanded the zone of control in the south of Bakhmut from the side of Experienced.

💥 South of Bakhmut:

Developing the offensive from Kleshcheevka, the Orchestra is moving towards the Bakhmut-Konstantinovka highway, one of the supply lines for the local grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In parallel with this, there is an advance towards the village of Krasnoye (Ivanovskoye) and the southwestern regions of Bakhmut.

💥 The Russian Armed Forces made a three-kilometre throw near Svatovo:

At the end of January, the Russian army repulsed several attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Svatov direction and went on the offensive in the area of the settlement. settlements of Kuzemovka, Krivosheevka and Stelmakhovka (25 km north-west of Svatov).

With the help of Shturm-S self-propelled anti-tank systems and Kornet anti-tank systems, units of the 144th Motorized Rifle Division of the RF Armed Forces attacked the positions of the 92nd Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

During the battle, anti-tank missile systems destroyed an American M113 armoured personnel carrier and up to three BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicles, and D-30 howitzers, which provided artillery support to Russian motorized rifles, hit a battery of French MO-120-RT-61 mortars. The units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost at least 60 people killed and seriously wounded.

Artillery ammunition and strongholds of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the village of Krakhmalny (30 km from Svatov), where reinforcements from the reserves of the 14th mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were planned to arrive, were also hit.

As a result of the battles, Russian units were able to establish physical control over the southern approaches to Novoselovsky. In total, the RF Armed Forces in this sector of the front have managed to advance 3.5 km in recent days.

💥 In Bakhmut:

It is reported that only one road to Bakhmut remains under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and that it is shot through by Russian forces.

It is reported that several columns of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were attempting to break through to Bakhmut along the only remaining road today but were destroyed by artillery fire, suffering heavy losses in personnel and equipment.
