You can make one sub per week after a 2 week waiting period, as per: https://saidit.net/s/SaidIt/comments/j1/the_saiditnet_terms_and_content_policy/

Some may be planning to make subs to sit on and control forever. And maybe get money for. I'm planning on making one myself. But I think it's a pity when some one makes subs on a subjects they have no interest in but just want to control or profit from. Or when a rightie makes a "liberal" sub. Or like when someone made an XKCD sub thus blocking Monroe from controlling it or having any say in how it was used.

On the positive side, the interest newbies have in making subs means there is a growing interest in the site.

You're right and it kinda feels like a flaw in the reddit model. We're open to ideas for trying to fix this. We have discussed potentially having a way for users to vote out bad mods.

There are subs filled with shills that seemed to be linked to a shill mod in someway. You can see the internet address as we can't. But controlling the shills seems very important to me. But how you do it I'm not techie enough to know.
