How censored do you think this site is? Is it really any better then Reddit? I feel certain posts here get censored and a lot of gatekeeping is going on.

I feel this site has surrendered and it seems since smartphones have taken over forums have died a slow burner death and many think it's just that forum or they don't mind it once Trump was in power it seemed forums stopped caring they were dying and seemed more caring about the 'slightest' infraction. To them spitting on the sidewalk would be a felony! You have to walk on eggshells to not say the 'wrong' word.

In terms of censorship and gatekeeping I do think this site is much better than reddit.

I think not as many people are engaging in the comments section as on reddit, and more of the posts are just direct links than reddit.

As far as forums dying, yeah maybe, I like them though, but that's not a Saidit issue, thats a forum issue.

Personally I'm willing to live with a little less engagement to have more authentic engagements, so I am preferring this to reddit. Just my take.

I think this site is more suppressed than censored. Even just a cursory look at the main saidit.net page reveals there is no proper way to access subs that are not in the main subs list and even they are tucked away from view under the my subs button. You might know someone started a sub called coronavirus. Good luck with finding a way to get to it from the main saidit.net page. Why would anyone who wanted to make the site better than reddit just ignore details like that?

Your home page is configurable in your preferences, you can set it to /s/all rather than the default /s/subscribed

Never thought of it that way but your right. It appears almost intentionally they are hiding most of the subs from views. I mean it's like businesses moving from California to Texas only to find out in Texas they can't have very good signage due to 'light laws' and other stupid crap so sure you have low tax and start up fees but then you get a whole bunch of other crapola that limits how visible your storefront is. Then they go out of business and blame Amazon for it.
