Is there an effective block feature?

Can we block trolls who are stalking us? A blocked user should not be able to see, respond, or vote on our posts and comments. Think of it as being one's own moderator. It will stake some burden off sub moderators.

There's a 'block user' button beneath each post which will prevent yourself from seeing that user's content.

That is the original reddit block feature, which is worse than useless.

It is one of the reasons reddit became such a shit hole.

For some reason, once reddit was thoroughly corrupted, they fixed the block feature (around January 2022).

There’s no trolls stalking you.

Also, you don’t know how to subvert the current block button.

What exactly do you want to block, that the 'block user' button on saidit isn't blocking?

Yes there is. It doesn't do any of that complicated stuff like on reddit. It just hides their posts so they can't annoy you. Simple and effective.

Yeah, I'm unclear what that does. I blocked someone, but they are still able to respond to my comments on a post directly. Not sure how they are blocked.

It works like the reddit block feature worked prior to January 2022, which is exactly the opposite of what you want it to do. It only prevents you from seeing what the trolls, stalkers, brigaders, shills, and agents provocateur are doing, but they can still see everything you are doing and reply to your posts and comments, and you won't even know it. They can troll all of you readers, and you won't even know it.
