I do want to restore the built in sub traffic stats. That might have a break down by browser or app.

Ads could bring in funding for more coders, not staff but, maybe as a bounty per task.

I much prefer volunteer coding with no ads. If no one wants to help then the platform is dead and we should all move on. Luckily, we're getting much help and have at least 5 coders working in the SaidIt ecosystem.

I totally agree. Volunteers are preferred. So is a fair and just peaceful society. But sometimes it's necessary to get professionals or have people with responsibility.

Burning Man is all volunteers except for a very few. Their jobs are critical and require responsibility or are the unpleasant things requiring payment. Whether it's managing the media, lawyers, the police, the ambulances, or making sure the turd burglars (porta pottie vaccumers) are on time - some things are very necessary and can't be left to cat herded volunteers. Action Girl once said she always assigns two volunteers to every task and even then some things don't get done. It's how it is.

Apples and oranges I guess.
