Subscriber count is one of those legacy issues from reddit that I hoped saidit would address and change.

The reddit subscriber count just serves to mislead the user that they are posting to a community of tens of thousands when in fact, the true figure of active users is probably only a few hundred. I think subs should provide an active user count based on the number of users that have posted, commented or voted in the past month and posts should provide a view count which is the number of people who clicked on that post.
