Shame what Star Trek has become as of today. I enjoyed the OS and NG, but never cared much for the rest. I was interested to see what the Picard series would bring, but I see it's nothing more than a Hollywood fuck over. Again, a shame.

Side note: Why do Youtubers have to play annoying loud sounds when they bleep out their own expletives. Either don't say the word, or use the old standard 1000 Hz sine tone that's easy on the ears.

Shame isn't strong enough. It's profoundly tragic, like a Shakespearean travesty - but so so so so much worsely wroten.

Agreed and good point. Loud doesn't help. I used to like Craig Ferguson's soundbite substitutions.

Haha, I hear what you're saying. Good point indeed. I'm not a fan of taking someone's classic work, and shitting all over it.

I upvote all negative Picard opinions.

Except negative opinions about that Jean-Luc/Data playing cards scene.

IMO, the only time in Picard that seemed legit Star Trek to me was when William Riker showed up to face down the Romulans - and even still there was no shortage of extremely problematic issues with that scene.

Picard was so bad I'd rather watch J.J.Abrams' movies instead.

That Riker scene was so half-assed though.

I didn't say it was good. I just said it felt like authentic Star Trek.

Yeah it was at least close.
