Yep, Ninjitsu is total garbage, The closest you will find to actual ancient martial arts is Judo and Brazilian Jiu jitsu.

Ninjitsu and Japanese jiujitsu fell into the weird mcdojo area some time in the last 100 years, like when you see training montages from these places you can tell that their techniques are sloppy and non-practical not much stress testing either which means lots of fancy stuff gets passed off as real.

I trained ninjutsu some decades ago. Later in life I watched a class of the kind of Karate that competes in acrobatic katas and such, then I realized that was the so called "ninjutsu".
