This whole video is actually really good and far more respectful of people with intellectual disabilities than a lot of the woke pity parties we see today.

Anyhow, in the video's summation is contained a brilliant insight that draws a strong line of distinction between the Mentally Retarded of yesterday and the (non-mentally-disabled) retards we have to tolerate today:

The Mentally Retarded are no different than any of us in one respect. The most important single qualification for job success is socialization - the ability to work pleasantly and cooperatively with others.

This is what we've come to, and what the internet has amplified. It was supposed to lift all boats and revolutionize the world. And maybe it has in many respects. But it's also handed the bullhorn to people with the least desire to work pleasantly and cooperatively with others. And that, my friends, is completely retarded.
