Shira Lurie is a professor (or maybe instructor) at the University of Toronto who writes about what shitty people we all individually are for colonizing other people's land and slaughtering them. She wrote an article for the Toronto Star saying that we should cancel all festivities during Canada Day (Canada's version of July 4th, for our American friends) and instead turn it into a mope fest where Shira and her ilk can spend the day hand-wringing like the professional victims they are.

That's not what makes her a retard though. This is her opinion, and whether I agree or disagree with it, I'm glad she can share it. That is proper in a democratic society.
