It's not been confirmed but it's definitely a man.

Originally the reports were about a man but then it got wiped. Jess Phillips clearly believes it's a man, she tweeted so then deleted it.

The name is fake, there no person of that name who exists in the internet at all (except for one fake friend post on reddit).

Likely this person is a police informer or in witness protection so as soon as anyone reveals anything about their identity they get the lawyer's breathing down their necks, even MPs and tech companies. I guess their identity could also be hidden because they are a supposed victim of domestic abuse, which is how they got into a woman's refuge in the first place.
