I've been off of reddit for a few days, so missed the drama that's been going on, and now that trufemcels and its sister community are gone there's no point whatsoever for me to go back there.

I learned about the situation from a post in blackgirldiaries then thought I'd search trufemcels in the search bard to see what had happened.

A post in r/againsthatesubreddits or whatever it's called came up talking about trufemcels demise.

I knew the comments were going to be a cesspit from the general misinformation that exists out there about femcels but my low expectations didn't prepare me for the utter bullshit that was written there, such as;

• that we're homophobic and brigade gay subreddits, supposedly hurling abuse at them; wheh many lesbian and bisexual women are very vocal in the trufemcels community.

that we're anti-body positivity, which makes no sense whichever way you look at it. We've literally suffered as a result of the *world not being body positive. Femcels of all shades and sizes were free to write whatever it is about their body and oftentimes people would offer advice.

*that we promote self harm!? People would talk about suicide but simply allowing people to express themselves isn't the promotion of anything. If that's the case suicidewatch should be taken down too.

*And lastly that we spread alt right conspiracy theories. Makes perfect sense seeing as a lot of us are WOC, who regularly talk about the issues we face as minorities.

I know the take down of trufemcels was mostly done by bitter males who are the same sort that scream "men get abused too" and other things when trying to focus on women's issues. Men that try so hard to convince themselves that women are "just as bad" as they are, as shown by their constant need to group us in with incels, even though they're in their own league in terms of fucked up-ness.

The crap above was just the subterfuge they needed to get rid of trufemcels once and for all.

Truly despicable.
