As far as I'm concerned we achieved what we were aiming for - refusing to bend the knee and ban topics which Reddit wanted secretly forbidden.

Yes, that's transgender shit. It's all the admins care about.

Here's a fun fact: r/dykeconversion is still active. A sub about raping lesbians until they "turn straight" is fine

But a sub willing to call that out has been banned. Fuck reddit admins and fuck reddit mods

[–][deleted] 39 insightful - 1 fun39 insightful - 0 fun40 insightful - 1 fun -  (7 children)

What the fuck. So someone saying they wish to rape me is okay, but me saying I don't want to fuck them is wrong?

It's the weakness- leftism has moved to a single-issue, "if you are not, at this very second, slowly, lovingly sucking a girldick, you are alt-right." Of course they'd keep that standard.

[–]bopomofodojo 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Which is probably the most absurd part because there are plenty of leftists who care more about, you know, class politics than trans bullshit. It's infested and infected every section of "the left" and is, apparently, the only thing that "leftism" stands for at this point. Dissent, for any reason, gets you expelled. This extends through every group from milquetoast liberals all the way down to "hardcore Marxists" in the West (and online).

[–]FourteenDigitz 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I got pushed from centre-left to pretty decently left over the course of the pandemic due to like… actual real world issues like rampant consumer capitalism, environmental degradation, and climate change, which conservatives obviously don’t give a shit about, and because they’re capitalists, neither do Liberals for the most part. Then having too much time to spend online because of multiple closure extensions for my job started pushing me back toward the centre when I started reading that “you can’t call yourself a Leftist if you disagree with ANYTHING I say!!”

I'm starting to think the "revamping" of the sub that happened a few weeks ago should have been a rebranding to a kink sub. We get off on the idea of shaming SJWs, TRAs, and radfems. It gets our peepees hard. Banning us is kink-shaming us.

Given the fact that a kink sub where they fantasize about raping lesbians straight is allowed to exist, maybe we could have pulled it off...

[–]Datachost 17 insightful - 1 fun17 insightful - 0 fun18 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Or try to play it off as really dedicated satire. "Actually, we're all just pretending to be perfectly rational human beings"

Pretty sure that's how AntiHateCommunities have survived this long

Really goes to show how the gender cultists feel about cis women.

It’s jealousy. It’s a burning, vengeful flame of jealousy, for daring to exist as women without any effort.

Honestly, I feels like a spite ban unless we can see concrete proof that hate was A) Posted / Promoted, B) Moderators had enough time to deal with it and ignored it. Other wise the bans were unjust.

The problem is, they are so obsessed with fighting "hate" and swinging and windmills, that they are creating the enemy they so feared.

They think 2030 is going to be a LGTBA+bullshit paradise, in reality, once the pendulum swings back against them, they are going to face so, so, so much more hate than when they started and no one will give a shit because they went so too far.

The fact that FINA ruled AGAINST Transwomen in women sports to block it, shows that the public opinion is slowly fading and once more and more of that happens and is shown to have support, more and more companies are going to jump the TRA ship.

This is one of the things that concerns me. I was happy when I gained the right to legally marry my spouse. That's all I needed, and the two of us have faded into the woodwork to be part of our general, family-oriented community. All of this degeneracy, from raping lesbians to mutilating children to forcing kids to view kink, is ultimately going to imperil my simple right to be left alone.

[–][deleted] 37 insightful - 1 fun37 insightful - 0 fun38 insightful - 1 fun -  (9 children)

Same here. I married my wife, we have rights, we just hang out with our friends and play boardgames. We don't want anything weird. And now we're being threatened by incels who want to fuck us.

[–]Datachost 26 insightful - 1 fun26 insightful - 0 fun27 insightful - 1 fun -  (8 children)

I remember reading a tweet thread the other day by a gay man, who'd been active in activism/ knew people who'd been at it since way before him, who basically said even back in the day the activism was often split in two, the integrationists, that is gay people who just wanted the same things as everyone else, to not have to risk getting fired, losing their housing, to not have to face harassment and to be allowed to get married and who generally advocated for themselves on a platform of being just like everyone else. And then the other group, the radicals, what we'd nowadays class as the Q+, people who wanted to dissolve all boundaries and who claimed they actually weren't like everyone else, they were special.

The problem now is, the integrationists aren't taking place in activism anymore, since they have what they were aiming for. And ironically enough that's led to them having to get reinvolved, because the Q+ have ran away with it, and they're having to get back on their soapboxes to say "No, really. Most of us are just regular people, who want to get on with life. This isn't us", because they fear getting caught in the inevitable backlash.

[–]Wanderingthehalls 19 insightful - 1 fun19 insightful - 0 fun20 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

That's a good point, the other is that activism in big business. In the UK, organisations like Stonewall pivoted HARD to the T once same sex marriage was a reality. Their big goal was achieved, so they needed a new cause if they wanted to keep the donations and grants coming in and this is what they've run with

[–]Datachost 13 insightful - 3 fun13 insightful - 2 fun14 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

Here's a fun Stonewall anecdote Simon Edge has told: He was at an event to celebrate gay marriage being passed in the UK. Whilst there he was approached by a certain lord, heavily hinted, though not confirmed to be Lord Michael Cashman, who mused on what Stonewall's next cause might be. Now some even at that time were of the opinion that they should just gradually wind down, or maybe focus on international advocacy. Lord Cashman (allegedly) suggested they might campaign to allow the spouses of gay or lesbian lords or ladies also adopt the title. This isn't a privilege afforded to straight couples, that's why they had to establish the Thatcher Baronetcy. No wonder they started focussing on trans stuff, when that was the best some of their ranks could come up with.

[–]MsTig0 19 insightful - 1 fun19 insightful - 0 fun20 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

And ironically enough that's led to them having to get reinvolved, because the Q+ have ran away with it, and they're having to get back on their soapboxes to say "No, really. Most of us are just regular people, who want to get on with life. This isn't us", because they fear getting caught in the inevitable backlash.

Well it's like Pride. When I still attended, it was mostly gay and lesbian people with their families, regular working people with kids or no kids, marching peacefully to protect their rights to live regular lives.

And the last time I attended it was men in dog masks, furries, dudes in drag waving their dicks around, and some very confused looking families.

[–][deleted] 9 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 0 fun10 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

That might actually be a really valid point. I just don't know how to solve it.

[–]Datachost 15 insightful - 1 fun15 insightful - 0 fun16 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

So this is just my opinion, based on what I've read here and there, but for all the talk of the inevitable backlash also affecting LGB people, I'm not so sure that's going to happen based on what I've read. Don't get me wrong, there'll definitely be people who can't differentiate between gay people trying to live their lives and this madness, but I think those people wouldn't be particularly fond of gay people anyway, regardless of how they lived. Meanwhile the general tenor from a good portion of the conservative base nowadays seems to be "Well, you're one of those regular gay people. I don't care if you want to get married so long as you're not too loud about it". Which still isn't ideal, but it's better than the alternative that gay marriage might end up getting repealed.

I don't really get why the US keeps having these decisions hinge on court cases rather than actual legislation anyway, but that's another issue for another day

[–]Datachost 29 insightful - 1 fun29 insightful - 0 fun30 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

Honestly, I feels like a spite ban

It absolutely is. I can honestly say I rarely saw anything on there I'd genuinely describe as hateful. And on the rare occasion someone did post an actual slur, or it was just a post purely mocking someone's appearance, they'd get called out on it at best or downvoted into oblivion.

[–]comingabout 18 insightful - 1 fun18 insightful - 0 fun19 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Anything actually hateful, like what most sane people would classify as hateful, would get downvoted. The problem is that "hate" is apparently wildly subjective. Saying that transwomen shouldn't be able to compete in women's sports is likely considered "hate" by a good portion of Reddit users and likely all Reddit admins.

[–]Datachost 10 insightful - 1 fun10 insightful - 0 fun11 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Saying that transwomen shouldn't be able to compete in women's sports is likely considered "hate" by a good portion of Reddit users

I'm not so sure on that one. If the last few days have shown anything it's that sports at the very least tend to be people's line in the sand. Even r/news and r/worldnews had to have their threads on FINA's policy locked/deleted, because most of the comments were "Well duh".

[–]comingabout 8 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 0 fun9 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I think it's a decent portion, not the majority. It's possible that they're fewer than I think but just very vocal. The majority of comments in r/subredditdrama are happy that TIA was banned, and even some commenters in the KIA thread are.

Slogan 1: "We need our healthcare to cover medical transition because this is a medical issue!"

Slogan 2: "It's not a medical issue/mental illness, you bigot!"

Slogan 1 is the trans movement's real goal, Slogan 2 is the claim used by the trans movement to pretend that they're a "Gay Rights 2.0" movement. But the reality is that being gay does not cost you a single cent or require you to look a certain way.

[–]MsTig0 9 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 0 fun10 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

Of course the bans were unjust. Hell, they tried to ban r/detrans previously but people made too much noise. I wouldn't be surprised if they tried again. The thumb-lookalike mods want reddit to be their safe space.

[–]TotoroDeams 7 insightful - 2 fun7 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Which is quite hilarious as freedom of speech is what made reddit what it was. The moment they banned r/watchpeopledie and r/fatpeoplehate, I knew it was only time before it became a Care Bear zone.

[–]PenseePansy 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I keep wondering if they'll get their wish... by driving everyone else away from Reddit. So that it consists entirely of the T and their minions.

At which point, Reddit will cease to be economically viable. And collapse.

Or maybe Reddit's Powers That Be will see this coming, and kick these fanatical wackadoos to the curb before they take the entire platform down with them.

[–]Sentinell 8 insightful - 3 fun8 insightful - 2 fun9 insightful - 3 fun -  (1 child)

once the pendulum swings back against them

I think unless some very charismatic candidate like Obama shows up for the Dems, the Republicans can just prop up the corpse of Nixon and still win. And the redditor (mods) will be absolutely baffled the Dems didn't win.

[–]jet199 8 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 0 fun9 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

They don't want an LGTBA+bullshit paradise.

They stupidly believe that queering every boundary will destroy society so that they can take over and create a marxist paradise.

Once they've done that all those bourgeois gay and trans wokescolds will go to the wall.

I've had female detrans kids admit this to me. At 15 their life plans were to be a transman who dressed feminine and to get pregnant to queer the binary which would bring about a socialist utopia. That's partly why you see intelligent kids go along with mad genders and nonsense like "bisexual lesbians" or "soft boys". It's manipulate. They aren't delusional, there's a twisted logic behind it.

That’s my biggest concern here. I’m gay. I just want to be left alone. But no, because they’ve decided that my sexuality is somehow linked to another person’s mental illness, I must now suffer. This is why I worry more and more about the antics of the TRAs.

I just read that rugby is also banning men from participating in women's sports. Awesome win, as far as I'm concerned. But with all the publicity, it was only a matter of time before reddit turned its eyes on r/tia. Sadly.

[–]MyLongestJourney 19 insightful - 4 fun19 insightful - 3 fun20 insightful - 4 fun -  (0 children)

True. International Rugby league banned transgender women (aka men) from women's competitions .

May the dominoes keep falling and the Reddit's trans mods diapers keep catching fire.

[–]FourteenDigitz 6 insightful - 2 fun6 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

There’s a trans person on my men’s rugby team and that’s the way I’d have it stay, because 1) they’re too valuable a member of the team to switch because of an identity and 2) if they switched to the women’s team there would be a LOT more concussions and broken bones.

Trans women belong in men’s sports, because they’re physically male. And yet I bet someone will read this comment and take away “you’re saying trans people don’t belong in sports!”

[–][deleted] 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Also, pretty sure this had to do with the articles about the trans swimmer bans making it to /r/all, and the fact that the comments were overwhelmingly in support of said ban

Don't forget FINA's own survey, which showed that somewhere around 80% agreed with their new policy. And the recent survey undertaken in the UK with 5000 participants, which shows the public still disagrees with this even when we're talking post op and heavily disagrees with it once it's made clear what's actually happening (again something like 80% percent who disagree with transwomen in women's toilets, changing rooms, sports, etc. once it's made clear they're intact males)

I know it's become something of a meme on Twitter, but Mumsnet's threads on gender stuff are genuinely impressive. Like there's some borderline investigative journalism going on there, building connections between open crossdressing fetishists and the movers and shakers behind modern charities.

    Why is discussion labeled "hate"?

It's labeled that way by a group of people whose loudest participants appear to have features of Cluster B personalities / disorders. Anything that sounds like "no" means they're a victim. Just like when a toddler has a tantrum under similar circumstances. That analogy is apropos and helpful, because those with these personality issues do tend to have stunted emotional growth.

Really hoping that more people come over here so that this place doesn't become a mirror of stormfront like most reddit clones do.

we had a good run. just remember: we're now free from the censorship of the pedophiles that run reddit.

Damnit, just realized the r/tumblrinaction is done with. More reason to move over here but still... Does anyone use an app for saidit? What app would you recommend?

One of my accounts got banned yesterday from r/SJIA for daring to point out that gender dysphoria is a mental illness.

So I'll say it here: Trannies are mentally ill and need professional help rather than enabling from the woketard alt-left.

    i'll miss the old sub.

    had many good discussions there.

however i won't miss the latest times when the focus was almost only on trans people.

maybe this is what tbis place becomes too.

Well, I know we all saw it coming for both TIA and SJIA, but I'm still sad to see it. Fuck the Reddit admins.

Transwomen may not compete in some women's sports

      TIA: "yay-"

Reddit: "You're banned for promoting hate."

So how long you think the other IA going to last?

SJiA is already gone, I'm guessing today too

AHS will find their next target eventually

      [–][deleted] 9 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 0 fun10 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Oh damn, banned just an hour ago. RIP.

Those subs were my last two reasons to even go on Reddit, well besides the porn.

Welcome aboard. Saidit is the place to be. All we need is more people.

Joke's on them, now there's no reason to keep the "no Reddit content" rule!

As a longtime poster there, RIP you two.

And as I am new to SaidIt, greetings, you glorious bastards!

Well, I'm late to the after party, but I created this account for this forum because of the ban. Not much else to say than preach to the choir, but I feel like the band on the Titanic playing as she went down. We may not have been on the "right side" of history, but goddamn if it wasn't the right thing to do. Ridiculous beliefs deserve mockery, and if they censor that they reveal themselves for what they are.

I'm curious: did anyone manage to keep track of how many subscribers it had before getting banned?

      [–]HatmanLiterally Hatler 17 insightful - 1 fun17 insightful - 0 fun18 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Nevermind, seems I had TIA open in another tab. 472k members. It'd be interesting to compare those numbers against the other subreddits that are still online.

Welp, rip tia, i liked those subs, i really did but nothing lasts forever... not even the woke plague does.

Ehh, they're a little too far-Trumpian for my tastes. This sub had people from the left and the right, and we could all agree that Lia Thomas shouldn't be competing against natal women, kids shouldn't be going to burlesque drag shows, and most hetero-cis white men aren't members of some kind of secret racist misogynistic social club.

        [–]Caessium 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

No point to invest our time in another subreddit that will get banned as soon as it grows large enough.

        [–]Redline2727 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

This all happened around the same time that Trans Identifying males were banned from women's swimming. There was so much celebration on Reddit over this decision that TRA'S could see the tide is turning and that more and more people are speaking about about the negative consequences and symptoms of gender identity theory. In their rage to gain control, they must have done some mass amounts of complaining and whinging to get these subs closed down. The fact is, they can't hack anyone criticising their ideology or refusing to comply in the slightest, never mind thousands of people. They're narcissists dependent on power. The irony is that all they've done is create even more resentment against TRA'S and gender identity theory. At least we had a place to vent our frustration. Do they really think banning us from speaking will have us just comply all of a sudden? All this has done, is made me more determined and more resilient. We aren't going anywhere and we will not comply or participate!
