What'd you guys think of Ethan Van Sciver and this new Isom thing?

I mean, it's great there is some pushback but I just think it's a far cry from the likes of Stan Lee or others like him.

I've read Kamen America and I am not impressed. It's either I wasn't the main target for that, okay I get that or it's just not that good and it's overblown by the comicsgate crowd as a "better than nothing" thing.

I am hoping it is the former.

I'm only concerned that the other comics are either the ones shitting on the woke left in a playful manner or entertaining the ideas of the woke left and mishmashing them.

Kinda like how George Alexopoulos does his stuff. He is this cartoonist that does some stuff. Like this.

You know, I would've been fine with their existence if not for the fact that reaction to skepticism about their works or doubts about the quality is met with hostility from the site in many ways. It's either Seethe and cope, in the case of 4chan or stop being jealous in the case of some FB groups. I am complaining about them because I know that discussions about the American culture war will now involve these things in more ways than one.

I don't want anything done about it. I just wanna complain.

But that's enough Tumblrina out of me. My title still stands? What'd you guys think? Too smug like Arch Warhammer or very self-centered and confident like Kanye West?

Awesome artwork. The right has some great meme materials. The stuff that I was seeing on Twitter had me rolling. There was a video meme of a deep faked Hitler face on Elizabeth Warren ranting about the Supreme Court abortion decision.

Yeah, Van Sciver's looks like a refined Rob Liefeld or something but holy shit can he draw, if you don't mind my saying. Isom looks dcent, like the post 2011 gritty comics.

Isom, the one written by Eric July, right? I'm not sure if I'm the target demographic, but I greatly respect them for walking the talk. I've heard about Eric wanting to make a good quality comic a long while back. He encouraged supporting the good indies instead of tossing the money to Marvel and DC.

Yep yep. I hope he goes far, proving to the world that good fiction still has merit and not everything has to do with skin colour and current year virtue signalling.
