Even around nuclear power plants, the very young are at greater risk. Numerous studies in Europe have demonstrated that children age five or younger living close to nuclear power plants show higher rates of leukemia than those living further away. The closer they lived to the nuclear plant, the higher the incidences.

Fairly sure the concept of cancer clusters was not only thoroughly debunked, it was debunked two decades ago.

This article reads like the usual neoluddite bullshit put up by the green movement. The ones who oppose everything other than a return to monke.

Fuck them, fuck them with rocks.

Because of their misinformation we still have gas and coal power generation, they waged a campaign to eliminate nuclear as an option and now we, the UK, are paying the price as we are having to pay the French and Chinese huge sums of money to build us some reactors in order to meet our carbon emission targets.

Fuck the greens and their anti-GMO stance, it is not rooted in any science, they have literally been spouting the ravings of lunatics for twenty years and have managed to persuade the EU to ban GMO crops for no good reason.

Fuck the greens for rebranding climate change every five years. We just about develop a global consensus and they rebrand it and make it ever more dire, it’s a “climate emergency” not anymore now its a “climate crisis”! Fuck them. Oh and fuck them for using children as props.

Fuck the greens for now trying to make climate change a racial matter.

This article reads like the usual neoluddite bullshit put up by the green movement. The ones who oppose everything other than a return to monke.

But remember, that return is only for everyone else. There's (almost) always, with movements like this, a "need" for overseers who quite naturally can't be expected to work with the restrictions and limitations imposed on the rest.

Paradigm Shift 2070 was supposed to be a joke, but there are some legitimate points in there

Ah yes... lets ban nuclear energy and fossil fuels. Then we can live off of wind power. Or even better How about we create a job where people ride stationary bikes hooked up to our power generators. We can pay slightly below minimum wage because we are actively providing free exercise equipment to underprivileged communities. to make up for the below minimum wage we can have people work in shifts of 16 hours minimum. this will allow people to get in shape. However they wont be able to produce enough energy so unfortunately electricity will need to be limited to essential individuals and organizations. It truly is unfortunate but this is the only way to end racism and climate change.

limited to essential individuals

With that caveat that if you have to ask if you're on the list, then you definitely ain't on the list.

Stopped reading after this:

Let’s start with racism. The fuel for nuclear power plants comes from uranium, which must be mined.

Where are the resources for solar panels, batteries for em and for your shitty EV gathered?

Switching from coal to nuclear would result in a vastly reduced amount of total mining, because a little uranium goes a long way. And considering coal dust is just as deadly as the low-level radiation from uranium mining, the switch seems like a win for reducing exposure to mine-related health hazards. And that's before comparing the environmental impact of (huge, ubiquitous) coal mines with small, rare uranium mines. No matter how you look at it, nuclear is completely compatible with the progressive agenda of increased electrification. And it's compatible with the conservative agenda of industrial development. Really, it should have bipartisan support, but idiot journalists are determined to make everything a partisan issue.

Oh, well that's obviously not the same at all! All of those things just appear with a wave of the Green fairy's wand, donchaknow?

I used to live in one of the whitest counties of a particular state, and that county had a nuclear reactor. Pretty sure race has nothing to do with it. NIMBYism may apply to people who don't want power plants in their vicinity in general but nuclear power puts out less emissions than coal plants, so they're safer for people's health.

I'm sure they'd like to see the end of a major employer on their land so white liberals can have good feelz.

Ultimately what we're supposed to do (as evil rich white people) is to just get addicted to gambling in metaverse Indian casinos and give them all our money that way. No pesky need to, you know, actually provide us with real goods or services that way.

Doing everything they can to ban the only viable alternative to fossil fuels. Because let’s face it; investors have put too much money into green energy, and they want their money, whatever it takes.

If the government and hyper-progressive leftists despise and constantly lobby against something, that thing is probably good

Yeah the storage sites are not located on the race of the people that are around it but on geological stability and lack of large population.

Funny that they're complaining about shielded radiation and instead promoting unshielded radiation from the biggest nuclear fireball.
