Women are going to have to stand up in droves to stop this nonsense, that's what it's going to take. They won't listen to straight white men, we're "the bad guys." Most women are too accommodating though, as is the nature of their sex, and they'd rather go along with little Timmy than tell him to fuck off back to his parent's basement. Unfortunately, the snarts were able to exploit how women have lost their x-factor here.

The only way women could fix this is a good old fashioned Lysistrata-style sex strike where they refuse to sleep with men until this fixes it.

Unfortunately, it's also a catch-22: The incels won't care about a sex strike (it'll be "You wouldn't sleep with me before this and you won't sleep with me after this, so how are you going to threaten me with my life already? Truth be told, I'm HAPPY Chad will have to live like I live for a while!"), the snarts already "became women" so a sex strike won't stop them ("oh, I'm a woman because I have he/they in my pronouns, so it's lesbian sex if you have sex with me, so it's safe under this sex strike!")...and because all of the problems in life can boil down to "people still believe they're in high school", they wouldn't dare risk sleeping with an ugly loser by doing the Sailor Moon-Pop Tarts style "Positive Strike" to counter the incels' claim ("...fine. If you help us with these assholes and help shut them down, I promise I will deflower you. I'll put it in writing, if I refuse you can claim I raped you, whatever you need, but help us against them and you'll have sex once in your life.")

Sex strikes are just retarded. If my GF decided to go on one due due to some political stuff I'd just dump her and find someone else who wasn't an idiot.

On the first side, that's the point of strikes as a whole- by the logic there, regular strikes would be the same because a Jeff Bezos would say "if my employee decided to go on a strike for their...poors...concern like how I made them work 24/7 for a penny a day, no safety benefit, and force them to sell their children into slavery to the company to join them, I'd just fire them and find some other peasant who won't get so uppity and think it's people". The answer: Any strike where people don't all agree to work for the same goal will fail because the people in charge will just find someone who isn't willing to strike. [See also: Why strikes have been truly broken by the pandemic showing that "if everyone in the country agreed to a general strike until their demand was met, then any corporation or government would be helpless against them and cave within a couple days...but there's enough people on each side of the coin who'd be happier seeing their opposing political party miserable than getting their own happiness.]

And even if sex strikes are bad, that's why going with the other "reverse boycott" mentioned was there, where instead of boycotting a product because they support something you dislike (and knowing 50% of the population will rally behind it), you pick a certain day to use the product or buy it en masse, then show them "our side has this much purchasing power. You take their side, you'll lose out on our buying power. Don't you want to take our side now?" (using the example said: Sailor Moon was not doing well in its first season in syndication and it was at risk of being cancelled, but was popular with a cult following. That fanbase finally looked at each of the sponsors who'd advertise on the show, picked out Pop-Tarts for an example, and made a measured plan so that all of the fans would buy a shitload of Pop-Tarts on one specific day...then, once they did, they went to Kellogg's and said "you may have noticed this huge spike in sales on [x] day. That was us. We bought them because you advertise on this TV show. You just saw the buying power we have...now in exchange, keep advertising for this show and we'll keep buying your product." It worked, and the show survived until Cartoon Network picked it up and it exploded in popularity.)

In this case the type of people who care about Rocket League at the commonwealth games enough to watch it and effect advertisment revenue are likely to be terminally online and probably walk lockstep with the internets mainstream embracement of all things queer.

I found it funny they were even doing e-sports at the Commonwealth Games. Don't enable the nerds and let them think they're on the same level as an actual athlete

I find it even more bizarre that you have a separate woman's category for a video game. Unlike in physical sports where the difference in physical strength between the sexes is the obvious justification for creating a handicap league for the females, video games don't have the same physical demands so I fail to see a good justification for having a separate competition for women. Essentially it all comes down to skill and strategy and women should not suffer from any sort of handicap in this area right? Having a women's competition then essentially sends the message to me that "our league believes that women are mentally inferior". It seems incredibly sexist to have one at all for a video game.

Men have better reaction times and better hand to eye coordination which means that for most video games, men have a clear advantage. There may be types of games that women excel at, memory based for example as women access their memories faster and have better recall, especially before menopause at it appears to be oestrogen linked. Women are better at facial recognition, and really fucking ironically, telling the sex of a person.

The fact is that there are differences between sexes in our physical and mental abilities. For skill based games, like darts, snooker, most video games, etc, those differences are on less of a spectrum than something like physical strength. So for those types of games, even men who are pretty good will come up against better women, it's not like boxing where a semi-fit man could easily punch out an elite women. But even still, at elite levels, men and women should be competing separately.

I think you just have no idea what "physical demands" actually means.

There is a clear difference in reaction speeds between the sexes and obviously that affects playing video games.

I mean if you think "physical demands" just means how big a rock you can chuck then sure.

Women have better fine motor skills. Wifie is significantly more accurate than I am in first person shooters and she can hold her own, but her tactics aren't always fantastic.

I think in this case it's mostly down to uptake, like with women's darts. Women traditionally stay clear of the arenas, therefore there are fewer exceptional women compared to men

They didn’t have a “men’s” division for esports they had a women’s division and an “open” division. So there was fuck all excuse for what happened, all the transwomen could have competed in the “open” division.

That being said, what the fuck were video games even doing there, which window licker thought that anyone other than a few twitch simps were even interested?

When I was teaching during the 2012 Olympics year, we used that to promote sports and fitness with the kids. What message is pro video games sending to the little lardarses? Also, having multibillion pound developers receiving cut rate or free global promotion leaves a bitter taste.

Video games make loads of money that's the only motivation for including them really. Sports is all about making money as well. Promoting fitness is just the excuse to float branded merchandise at the kids and make them future customers.

The few Twitch simps who were interested will watch the Commonwealth Games for the video game portion of it. Considering the Olympics is the only global sporting event that people will watch regularly (and even THEY added X-Games sports when that started gaining popularity because they needed the audience), it could be enough to get them on TV.
