Informed of what? That they are actually the opposite sex? That it's perfectly normal and totally not a mental illness? That puberty blockers and hormone therapies are okay to start at any age and fully reversible? That top and/or bottom surgeries will solve their problems and bring them happiness?

Any doctor that considers that to be "well-informed" should be immediately stripped of their license and banned from ever practicing medicine.

So a doctor recommending administering "treatment" to render a body part non-functioning, then recommending the part they ruined be amputated, and all this before the patient is old enough to consent?

Where the fuck are the parents?

So, if a doctor decided to, say, "administer" a hammer to a child's kneecap, we'd say that it's then reasonable for that doctor to amputate the leg they just ruined, and call that treatment?

Also, is it my imagination, or did this doctor just accidentally admit that puberty blockers can ruin a child's plumbing so horribly that it requires amputation, thus meaning that it's not "harmless" or "reversible" at all? Does that qualify as "saying the quiet part out loud?"
