Sigh. bangs head This is NOT what it's about, people. Tons of homeless people like being homeless. They are either insane, drug addicted, or have extreme views on personal freedom that the rest of us don't share.

If they're insane we can't coop them up. The ACLU sued to get all the asylums closed down (and then blamed Reagan). If they're drug addicted ditto, all they want to do with their lives is do more drugs. And there are people who reject our lifestyle with houses and cars and vacations, and just want to live a life free of entanglements of any kind.

Build all the houses you like, none of it will solve this. Making it illegal prevents the homeless - who pay no taxes and are net takers from society - from bothering the rest of us.

Well that's true for some homeless. And I agree, let them do as they wish.

However there is a growing segment of the population that is homeless and does not want to be. Those are the people who could use the help, and I'd rather spend it on that than a wall (that doesn't even do anything), tbh

I haven't ever met a homeless person that likes being homeless. It's never that simple anyway. Some prefer camping to shelters. But there's a nearly universal desire for housing, heat, water, etc.

The problem isn't housing, but affordable housing. Unfortunately much of the debt is backed by real estate markets, which have created a real estate bubble. Housing is ridiculously overpriced... It'll pop eventually.

yes you have, same reason why when you offer to give them food they say no, they just want money. they want it for drugs/alcohol. if they wanted a place to live they'd get off the streets and go to one of many shelters and apply for govt assistance but that is not what they want.

I've seen plenty of pan handlers that aren't homeless. They're sometimes trying to get bills paid. Rent, phone, smokes, etc.

It's not all just drugs.

Define economy. Pretty good for who? 80 million people making less than 15 an hour. My economy is you and me spending money. Drugs suck Medicare for all covers this off hand remark. Expanding social services corrects what jail does now. One point, follow along with me those 80+ million people get a five dollar an hour raise. My math $5.00 × 80 million that's 400 million an hour of spending every hour of every day. Now thats an economy the poorest nation in the world can never match. Thousands home less today because Cali is burning. Drug addicts? Got ya. Boot straps and all? It's really fixed our country. You can't prove me wrong unless you fix the problem by locking up all the homeless? You have no solution just fear, America deserves so much better. Homeless deserve a home help us build that. if ya make less than 15 an hour you're lazy. shoulda tried harder in school. I make 200k a year, I just bought another house and it was tough because as soon as a house goes on sale someone buys it, lot of people have good jobs and money. Too many lazy people, their lives should be made harder to give them incentive to work harder. You get welfare that pays for everything and too many people are being let out of jail and not made to pay bail now cuz of sjw reasons. Don't wanna lock em up? Ok but they can't hang out on the streets and panhandle, they gotta go somewhere else. I don't want to see it. It lowers home values. One good thing about gentrification is it keeps out the riff raff, the bad part being prices go up, this wouldn't be necessary if we just kicked the riff raff out in the first place. No more immigrants too btw. The less workers = the higher the wages. We're full, no more immigrants for like a period of 30 years would be good. Trump sucks because he did nothting to build the wall from 2017-2019 and that is why repubs got kicked out of the house.
