You can see why she had to get rid of her mother.

Gender non conforming people are a real threat to trans ideology which says if you wear the wrong clothes or play with the wrong toys you must be the opposite sex.

That's what made her feel "unsafe", the fact her mothers very existence contradicts what she was taught was the truth.
