"You don't have a credit card?!"

People (especially phone merchants) who act like those without credit cards are retarded or criminals need to take a step the fuck back and look at what a credit card is, where it came from and how it is used to control people by getting them to spend tomorrow, today by removing the actual act of handling the cash or checking the balance - it's a psychological trick.

Just because someone chooses not to be tricked by this, doesn't mean they are beneath you. In fact, I would argue it makes them better than you.

So sick of this shit!

Solution: CC should be universally replaced with the "Debit (insert CC company here)" cards - that allow online purchases etc, they could even take a small cut or charge for the card so they don't go completely bankrupt - but are linked directly to how much money you have.

Additionally, loans should also be allowed (but and this is where the difference between loans and CC comes in) - usury should obviously be illegal. Note that personally, I word it such that usury is the "malevolent" personality of interest - which I DO consider legitimate. (Without interest, there is no incentive to loan.)

The credit card is a psychological marketing scam and should be called out as such.

Caveat to that:. Be doubly careful of fake ATMs and stolen numbers. If they take money out of your account, then it's way harder to recover.
Screw credit card companies, though.

God yes, people can be as shitty as the credit card companies - it's just that they don't have the same amount of funding - or legal protection! lol

How cc companies can deplatform people by holding their brand hostage over things like paypal or patreon. Disgusting.

i went all the way and arranged my life so i dont even need a bank account, let alone any kind of plastic. having a bank account is giving banks insight into your financial matters. its making your business their business. a bad idea any way i think of it. the banks are not our friends to put it mildly :-)

I haven't had a credit card since the early 1990s.

I love/hate it when they call up and want to talk about my credit.
