Tensions Are Increasing Between Venezuela and the United States Over An Attempted Coup

An ex-Green Beret led an attempt to remove Maduro from power in Venezuela, only to fail. Some retreated, others did not. It seems the Western mainstream media are all claiming that the Trump administration wasn't involved, as 'an Associated Press investigation found no evidence of U.S. government involvement in the plot'. It should be noted that 'the Maduro-controlled state media portrayed it as an invasion ginned up by the CIA, like the Cuban Bay of Pigs fiasco of 1961.', meaning Maduro probably believes this. Trump himself denied involvement. Moscow's foreign ministry says the denial is unconvincing, citing that the U.S. has supposedly been obsessed with deposing him.

Luke Denman, a detainee captured, claimed the task was ordered by Jordan, who leads a mercenary group called Silvercorp USA. Jordan also claimed that he was the operation's organizer in media interviews on Sunday: 'Goudreau confirmed his role as organizer of the operation in media interviews on Sunday and told Reuters on Monday that Denman and Berry were “my guys.”'. Since the article was published on Wednesday May 6th 2020, it is likely that the article is saying that his comments were made on Sunday May 3rd 2020 and Monday May 4th 2020. In the video with the detainee, the detainee claimed that president Donald Trump commands Jordan, thirty-nine seconds in.

The likelihood of an escalation is very high indeed...

It is very interesting. With the advent of fracking the US is oil independent, which correlates well with the loss of interest in oil rich countries post 2010. So why the new push to secure Venezuela? It seems they need cheap oil for something else.

Perhaps they are scared that if all the available oil is held in foreign hands it would be too easy for them to dethrone the Petro dollar. So if oil is selling for less than $40 (making shale not viable) and everyone able to provide it at thay low price won't sell for dollars anymore, suddenly the dollar loses value. However, if there is at least one source selling for dollars that changes.

You might want to proofread this. I think I'm being told that the ex-Green Beret is named Jordan, but it is not easy to make the connection.

Daily Mail say's Roen Kraft was involved and hints that Richard Branson might be. I don't think this one is about oil, it's about property owned by money launderers (cocaine).
