So the mods of r/makenewfriendshere pinned a post vilifying members of The Tavern Discord - for outdoing their own Discord Server. Got 14 of our member's Reddit accounts IP-banned for offering anyone 18+ and with a webcam, a videocall club where all we aim to do is widen our circle of friends.

  • must be 18 or older
  • we need you to join our video calls on camera (face on cam, not pointing at the ceiling, please)
  • speak English (at least conversational-level)

When I joined saidit I was told never show my face, never give out my name, where I lived or even indeed any slight details which could be used to identify me because there are extremists who will hunt people down and doxx them merely for being a member of a site like this.

Did that advice change?
