Why is almost every national subreddit of non-western countries filled with people who are completely disconnected from the actual society of said countries or filled with larpers?

For example the majority of people on the subreddit r/lebanon are atheists( https://www.reddit.com/r/lebanon/comments/hl0l3w/comment/fww3ntm/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) when atheists don't even make up 1% of the population in Lebanon ( https://www.state.gov/reports/2019-report-on-international-religious-freedom/lebanon/ ),they complained about people tearing down gay flag posters (https://www.reddit.com/r/lebanon/comments/vjzl3j/would_love_to_see_the_same_peoples_reaction_if/) when 79% of people living in Lebanon opposes Homosexuality being accepted in society(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGBT_rights_in_Lebanon) PS:the users on r/lebanon are way more likely to post on r/israel than on r/lebanon (https://subredditstats.com/subreddit-user-overlaps/lebanon)

Reddit is mostly Americans.

Americans love larping as ethnics because they had one great great grandmother from that place.

Mostly because the people who use reddit tend to be upper middle class kids from these countries. Not many people in Lebanon can afford a computer or a phone. Same is true for the rest of the third world.

Most of these people aren’t from these countries, or one of their parents came from these countries, but now live in America, Australia, Canada or similar countries. Also, Reddit attracts stupid people.

I think it's the same with Georgia, the country in Asia. https://subredditstats.com/subreddit-user-overlaps/sakartvelo For some reason, like Turkish people, Georgian people (at least on 4chan and reddit) really want to be recognised as European despite being in the continent of Asia.

Afghanistan subreddits are literally moderated by american national security think-thanks and institutions btw
