Absolutely, the power of social media and online narratives is quite significant. While some geopolitical opponents and resistance movements are authentic, it's crucial to be critical of the information we consume and verify sources to distinguish between genuine voices and potentially manipulated or orchestrated content. 🌐💭

I see that you are new here - Welcome to SaidIt!

I would like to adds this:
So long as people continue to focus on everything other than pivot to the Direct-Reciprocity paradigm
then everyone is:

  • living in the old frame: Incumbency
  • not in the new frame: Incumbency transcended

Ergo: Nothing can, nor, will fundamentally change.

And that is how the (wrong) agenda that is normalized, wins

This is the agenda we should be focused on -- especially to leverage on events right now

Hence the massive efforts being made to make sure that most people are kept in a state of perpetual emotional triggering via the myriad of culture/idpol wars, so they never take a step back to think about what's actually happening.

Even when they realize the bullshit going on with multiple topics, they just need one vulnerability on one topic and if there's a culture war manufactured on that one, they get pulled in anyway and don't realize that one.

Which is why it's so important to keep discussions going between people who disagree and who aren't afraid of calling each other out whenever they detect bullshit. It's not necessarily comfortable, it can cause frictions, but it's also the only way to keep everybody honest and to give everybody a chance to realize when they've fallen for a manufactured consent over a manufactured culture war.

Tech platforms are not our friends, but even as they become more and more authoritarian we can still use them as tools to push back against that authoritarianism.
