the article talks about how being nuetral isnt enough but this conflict is result of ukraine refusing to remain neutral. ukraine threatened to join nato and was invaded, now finland is looking to reduce the threat of russian invasion by threating to join nato?

Yep, countries want to join NATO because of Russian aggression.

They don't want to just play buffer-zone for globalists who don't give a shit about them and just wait for Russia to decide to invade in the future because of some other random justification they decide to make up. They want to do something to protect themselves.

Have you not worked this out yet.

If being neutral is not sufficient to guard against Russia

That's just it. Neutrality is enough. Russia invaded because Ukraine was not neutral. The two states had significant trade and generally good relations. Then US overthrew the neutral government in 2014 and installed a puppet government which then actively pursed NATO membership.

It'll be interesting to see how Finland goes. If they organically join NATO, and not because a coup magically happens, Russia will probably do nothing, just like it did nothing for the other Baltic states that joined.

I feel sorry for the Ukrainians. They're just pawns in a proxy war between the US and Russia.

So you think that Putin was just joking when he said he didn't think the Ukraine should ever have existed and Kiev should be in the Russian state?

Finland is begging to be invaded.
