Alison McDowell: Many following me claim to embrace liberty and free markets,
but you don't understand what that means in the context of Web 3.0.
It means the tokenization and financialization of EVERYTHING
- every object and action on the earth.
Can you live with yourself if you let that happen?
Discounting the idea of "free" markets isn't the same as doing the hard work of understanding how the economic theory is meant to mesh with blockchain IoT tokenization. I need folks to do THAT work.
If you're not up for the task, move along.
I've got no time for flighty comments.
@nurtureling: We need to consider that what we are doing is not working.
Everyone knows that old saying about what the definition of insanity is.
As Einstein once said:
"You can never solve a problem at the level it was created".
AM: I would assert to address the problem, you have to be clear about the nature of that problem.
There is no consensus about that right now. It's the blind men and the elephant.
@nurtureling: All the problems of the world are a bottomless pit.
There are no solutions to all the problems in the world,
the only answer is to head in the opposite direction that we've been heading in,
a return to living in 100% harmony with nature.
AM: Again, if you are not clear about what caused the problem, you will only bring it with you wherever you try to go.
@nurtureling: Understanding the cause of a problem doesn't mean that we are going to be any closer to having peace.
It only means that you understand the problem.
AM's follower: Understanding the root cause of anything is the ONLY way you will keep from repeating it. If you don't identify it and take measures to remove or resolve it then you will continue to not move forward.
Imagine weeds in a garden. If you move the garden, you will still get weeds.
@nurtureling: Have you ever heard the expression, "whatever you resist persists?"
Weeds are the worlds most persistent plant despite peoples attempts to remove them.
If you are in a dark room, you don't say, "make the darkness go away",
you say, "turn on the light".
All we have to do is head in the exact opposite direction to where we have been heading.
It's really simple but most people are stuck on problem, reaction, solution.
Are we going to reinvent the wheel
or are we going to come together with the answers in mind?
@nurtureling: And just to add to this, the reason that most people overlook what has been shared is because they are too busy and full of momentum to stop to think.
All we have to do is stop what we are doing and head in the opposite direction.
