If five years from now everyone in the world has become a bitcoin user, that could only be because something very very bad has happened to the regular monetary system. Perhaps hostile aliens have enslaved us and are using the payments system to control what we can buy
That's pretty much what is happening though

Ease of use and adoptability are problems, but hopefully the software around it is getting better, and there's more Bitcoin/USD ATMs being put in public places every month
