Where to legally read books online for free?

  • project gutenberg (gutenberg.org)
  • openlibrary (openlibrary.org)
  • my local public library system

I think there are more though. Anyone know about others?

Well I bookmarked this link awhile back but realize I have never tried it out. It says 50,000 free ebooks, https://www.manybooks.net/

thank you! I did a quick web search and this site is mentioned in a few articles about finding ebooks online so that lends at least some confidence that it's legit.
