gdamn, didn't know any of that, but can't say I'm surprised to find yet another household product is actually industrial poison :(

Thanks for the info, I didn't know this. So much to look out for in all our consumer products, shit that's making us sick too.

We're all being poisoned. I'm also using tea tree oil right now (seems promising on warts), but that stuff is problematic, especially to cats but also humans. There's a condition it can cause I won't link to because the wiki has children's diseased genitals and apparently that can be flagged automatically as child porn (cc: u/Hongkongphooey) called Linear IgA bullous dermatosis.

Damn, tea tree?! That surprises me more than the coal tar. I assumed that stuff was OK, I have tea tree oil in my shampoo. I'll have to read more about this, thanks dude.

Also yeah, don't link that shit, after reading that article about Google flagging that dude for taking a picture of his kid for the doctor I don't think you can be too careful about this

I'm the opposite, I was surprised about coal tar but I knew tea tree oil is some nasty stuff.

Tea tree oil potentially poses a risk for causing abnormal breast enlargement in men,[22][23] and pre-pubertal children.[24][25] A 2018 study by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences found four of the constituent chemicals (eucalyptol, 4-terpineol, dipentene and alpha-terpineol) are endocrine disruptors, raising concerns of potential environmental health impact from the oil.[26]

Endocrine disruptor... yeah that is no bueno. Guess I even gotta watch out for this natural stuff too

I noticed whenever I use coal tar shampoo, Gizmo goes nuts biting me. It's like when I have catnip on me. I thought it was cute, but apparently it can make him really sick.
